I shot her a look, barely concealing my irritation, and moved toward the door without a word.
“Mago,” she said again, her voice catching as she hurried to close the distance between us, desperation seeping into her tone. “Please. Let’s talk.”
I kept walking, but her hand shot out, catching my arm. I turned slowly, meeting her gaze with a cold stare.
“We have nothing to talk about, Arlene,” I said flatly, pulling my arm from her grip.
“Yes, we do,” she insisted, her voice growing stronger. “We’re married, Mago. We have to set boundaries if we’re going to live under the same roof.”
