My Boyfriend's Brother
I went to shift out of it on instinct, the way I did most days now.
Oh wait. Boyfriend. Right.
I let him stay.
"You listening to any of that?" he said into my hair.
"Every word," I said, which was generous of me, considering I'd retained about four percent of it.
"So you agree Kevin's an idiot."
"Complete idiot," I said, with the full conviction of a woman who had no idea who Kevin was.
He kissed my cheek, pleased with himself, and went to grab his keys.
"We should head off soon," he said. "Traffic's going to be a nightmare toward your mum's."
