Allison's pov

"Finally!" I breathed as soon as I got out of the stuffy airport waiting room and into the parking lot of the airport. The air here wasn't any better but at least it was sunny and I could breath. I hated travelling, it always made me sick.

I still couldn't believe I had gotten a scholarship to transfer to an ivy league school like Camptain Alpha University.

It still boggled my mind the circumstances around getting this scholarship. Hannah, my best friend had signed me up without my knowledge for the honor's program.

It was a program where an important student and parent in the school could recommend student's in community college to give scholarships to ànd Hannah had recommended me for the exclusive exam which I had passed in flying colors.

"Alice!" I heard a familiar voice call out to me and I glanced up to find Hannah running towards me at full speed, her red hair flying in the wind.

I dropped my bag and ran towards her, spreading my hands as she ran into my arms.

Goddess, I missed her!

"You are finally here," she squealed, giggling in joy.

"I know!!" I squealed back, ignoring the strange looks from passers by.

Hannah let go of me and twirled me around, getting a 360 view of my body.

"You look fucking gorgeous!"

She said and I made a show of bowing down like I had just finished a play.

"Thank you, thank you." I said in a cool expression. She always thought I looked gorgeous even though I was wearing out of season jeans and a plain hoodie.

She chuckled at my dramatic way of saying thank you and grabbed Me by the elbows

"Come on, my car is parked over there, I can't wait for us to be roomies!"

"Me too! Wait! My bags," I said with wide eyes, almost forgetting I had brought any.

"That's right!" She said and followed me to get my bags.

We dragged my heavy boxes to her car, got in and she zoomed off.

"I can't tell you enough how glad I am that you are here. I knew you'd get the scholarship."

"Girl, I should be thanking you. You were the one who signed me up and got your parents to co sign it. You have no idea how grateful I am and how close I was to dropping out of community college."

"You are welcome!" She chuckled.

"Watch where the fuck you are going bitch!" Hannah yelled at a car that almost hit her.

"You haven't changed." I laughed.

Hannah had always had a special love for driving and hated slow drivers or drivers who overtake her. She'd always wanted to be a formula one racer but her parents wouldn't let her.

Hannah chuckled at my words.

The rest of the ride was Hanah and I singing loudly to Taylor Swift's songs.

"So, when's the rest of yiur6stuff coming?"

Hannah asked as soon as she opened the door to her apartment.

"This is all of my stuff."

I frowned.

"You remember I am incredibly poor don't you?"

I asked and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Not for long because I got you a job in school, a high paying one. My boyfriend works there too,"

"Ouuu. Okay! Sounds fun and you and Stan are back together?" I asked as I dragged my tattered box inside the dorm room.

"Eww, no. I have a new boyfriend. His name. Is…"

Just then her phone rang and she mouthed to me that she needed to take the call.

I nodded and watched her scurry towards the tiny kitchen

I took that time to admire the dorm room.

It was very different from the one's at RU, my old university.

The dorms looked like apartment buildings.

It had a living room which was odd. I had never seen any dorm that had a living room before, at least not in RU.

I dragged my stuff to the center of the room, still admiring and taking in the place.

Just then Hannah came back into the room with a slightly annoyed expression on her face.

"I have to go, Ali, I am needed at work but make yourself at home. I'm so sorry," she pouted with sorry eyes.

"It's fine, I can get things sorted out. Which one is my room?"

"The one at the back of the hallway."

She said,

"Alrighty, thank you."

She hugged me tightly and kissed my cheeks one more time before walking out the door with nothing but her phone and car keys.

I dragged my bag into my room and smiled when I saw what Hannah had done with the room.

She'd painted it my favorite color and had decorated it in a way I'd love. I remember I had shown her a picture of my dream room a few years ago and she'd done exactly that.

What on earth would I do without her?

I spent the next couple of hours getting my things in order.

Hannah still wasn't back around 8 and I was starting to get bored so I dressed up in Jean and a cute top and decided to go touring campus.

Since I had been here before the first time Hannah got into school, it was easy to navigate the place.

One thing about CAU, the place was monstrously huge with gorgeous structures that looked like they were built by geniuses.

It was a little chilly outside but not enough to deter me from my adventure.

I found a bar after walking for twenty minutes and decided to go in.

I deserved to splurge on myself especially after this scholarship.

It was supposed to be me and Hannah but since she was still busy at work, I had to celebrate on my own. Besides, I wanted to explore a little and get my mind off thr troubles of home.

I was just going to drink one of two bears before leaving…

The bar was shaking with the loud of music.

It was crowded bar with a bunch of students drinking and laughing and playing snooker in the corner…

I took a seat at the bar and a pretty bartender with midnight black hair walked over to me.

"You are new here aren't you?" She asked, a smile on her face.

"Is it that obvious?"

"Not obvious, it's just that we don't get to see a lot of pretty women like you around anymore." She said with a wink

I blinked at her in confusion, unsure on how to react.

"Stop flirting, Candace." I heard a deep but smooth voice behind me and I turned around to look at the owner of the voice.

My breath caught in my lungs immediately our eyes met.

He was gorgeous, too gorgeous for his own good.

Goosebumps decorated my entire forearms and a strong intoxicating scent wafted into my nostrils, causing the hair at the back of my neck to stand up but not out of fear, it was for something else– desire.

I felt the urge to cry out to him to touch me and mark me.

My wolf, Clara rose from her slumber and growled at him like she recognized him.

I gasped when I realized that the strong scent, the goosebumps and my wolf's howling was my body and wolf acknowledging that my mate was near and was standing in front of me.

"Mate…"

The Raven head guy growled low, his eyes boring into mine as if he was trying to see through my soul.

Well, this was an interesting turn of events.
