“Do you think any of that matters now?” I snapped.
“The truth is, because of you, both my parents are dead. And I almost lost my life, too. So tell me, Brandon, how exactly do you expect me to stay by your side?
“Or do you plan to drive me to death too?” I laughed bitterly.
“No!” He cried in panic as he tried to sit up, but the pain from his wound forced him back down, his face contorting, his eyes bloodshot.
