The last word came out a snarl, sharp enough to make the wolves closest to him flinch.
“He wants to fracture us. Divide us. He calls it ambition?” Noah spat into the dirt. “I call it treason.”
Roars erupted across the clearing. Bones cracked as several wolves shifted fully, unable to hold back. Noah let the fury build. He fed on it, then raised a hand.
“A battle is coming,” he said, voice lower, raw with emotion. “One that will test not just our strength, but our loyalty. I can’t win it alone.”
He turned slowly, meeting every set of eyes—hardened warriors, young recruits, aging elders who’d once stood with his father.
