It’s a perfect sampler for her style—you can see if you like how she balances the action with the relationship development. If that one clicks, then you’re primed to tackle the Falcon Falls or Gibraltar series, where the world and character connections get way more expansive. Starting with a standalone just feels less intimidating, and you can still tell if her pacing works for you.
