He starts sobbing almost immediately, and her heart breaks for him.
“Oh, Sweetie. That’s it let it all out. I’m here. I love you. I can take your sadness, as much as your anger. I will bear it all to have you. Do you hear me.” He nods, still sobbing and clinging to her. “I have had people angry at me for most of my life for one reason or another, and most of them would have killed me if I couldn’t handle it. I am not easily broken. Hurt, yes. Damaged, yes. But broken? Only one man ever broke me, and that was by dying in front of me.”
