“Why did you…” “That’s nothing,” he coldly told me. “It’s not that you’ll read it anyway.” “But I…” I couldn’t be able to finish my sentence. “Tell me.” I bit my bottom lip while gripping my books on my arms tightly like I’m getting a support from it. “It’s not that you’ll understand it anyway.” I uttered, mimicking what he said a while ago. When two broken hearts meet, they find their missing part in each other. I often read that quote. But whenever I tried to believe it, I just couldn’t.

God, he probably had no idea how deeply his words cut me. In fact, I wasn't sure if I fully comprehended the extent of my pain. It should be physically impossible to feel one's heart breaking into pieces, but why did it feel like every damn shard was shattering and falling away? Was he actually serious?

He rejected me without a second thought, treating me like I meant nothing. He broke me, ruined and damaged me beyond repair. What makes him think he can get me back after all that? Even though a part of me I couldn’t control might still be in love with him, I can’t give in fully to it. I can’t open my heart to him again because if I do, then I am only setting myself up for more heartache. Our love has turned to ash. He’d lost me forever. The sooner he realizes that, the better.

Everything hurts, even though he didn't remember feeling anything before meeting her. He thinks of the last thing she said to him: "She didn't love me." He wishes she had told him sooner. I said and I examined her emotion, her eyes widen in horror and chaos. "I'm sorry but I couldn't get what you mean. I don't know what you are saying, kid. go home!"
