We're done. Don't even think about begging me when the apocalypse hits, you idiot."

The Underground isn't a pack yet, just an extension of my father’s pack, Triple Moon. He needs to be advised on an attack against a pack member.” She peers shyly up at me. “Okay, I understand.” I brush her cheek with my thumb. “Don’t be afraid, Kitten. He's not scary.”

I turned to the voice and was petrified to see the bigger one of them dressed all in silver, with Catriona in his hands choking her.

It made me so proud to be his father. Brianna, apparently competitive with everything, has joined warrior training as well. She’s a smart fighter and when she got her wolf a couple weeks after Cathal was released from the hospital, she showed just how fast she is too. I’m pretty sure Luca trains her on the side so that she can keep up with Cathal. Whatever it is, Brianna keeps Cathal on his toes, and it’s good for him.

Granted the book was written decades ago, but most of the packs in the woods are ancient, so almost all of them are still here.”
