LAVINIA'S POV "Son, I still don't understand why you agreed to this marriage in the first place, we could have easily gone to war instead. That girl is cursed, she could bring destruction to our pack but yet you're still adamant about it." Alpha Argo said and my heart clenched. I didn't realize it but tears had gathered at the edge of my eyes. Was this really what my future father in-law thought about me? How can he refer to me as cursed and a bringer of destruction? What had I ever done to him?

She felt it was her responsibility, but she also knew she couldn't fight them alone, but she needed help from others, she thought. She used her curse which was "cursed speech". She was able to make something happen with just a word. If she was to say die to anyone they would die instantly, but that depends on how strong the soul of the person was. She used her cursed speech to curse three swords, that can be used to kill anyone that was cursed, with a stab in the chest. She wanted to do more but she couldn't, the cursed energy was too heavy for her mortal body to behold. The three she did take a toll on her body and she lost her voice. Huh, sweetie.” Cat fired her the dirtiest glare she could offer. “The moon has already cursed her. She would live the rest of her pathetic life struggling, till she dies as the nobody she is. Not even her family can save her faith.” Cheers filled the hall. Everyone seemed satisfied with her fate. “Now, for the final punishment that we are obligated to give her. Alpha Draven, Banish her.”

Now this whole murdered lovers' theme was getting too gloomy. “Don’t tell me you guys actually believe this shit!” Cassie laughed. “You two are crazy if you believe in cursed pussies. I've never heard of such a thing.” “Well, I'm not taking that chance. I think I need a cleanse,” Kitty argued. “Like a priest to come and bless me or something.” Cassie and Cherry looked at each other before peeling over on the bed, laughing their asses off. “The best thing you can do now is get some sleep. You'll feel better in the morning,” Cassie told her.

Whatever fragile hope of peace this meeting was meant to build is gone, crumbling like ash between my fingers. All that’s left are wolves glaring at me with murder in their eyes. All that’s left is the bond thrumming louder than ever, wild and undeniable, reminding me with every breath that Ronan Draven’s life is mine and mine is his. The last sound that cuts through the chaos, through the whispers and growls and the pounding in my ears, is a single word rolling like thunder across both packs: “Cursed.” It doesn’t matter who says it first.
