Vincent turned so he was face-to-face with her and sneered, his arms holding her impossibly tight. “Don’t you dare fight this, Brooklyn. You promised to do whatever it would take to see this company succeed.”
“I’m not doing this, Vincent. We’re not even married yet, so you can’t make me do this.”
“Not yet, my dear,” Vincent’s smile looked like he was losing his mind. “But that’s why you’re here.”
Brooklyn’s eyes pinched together in confusion before Vincent nodded to Lacy, who was observing from behind them. She stepped away for a minute and when she came back, there was a paper and pen in hr hands.
