I pushed the book down in frustration as I rolled my eyes at his statement. "What are you reading?" He stands up leaving his seat before I could hide the book he grabbed it out of my hands. Jerk! "I want my book back." I glared. "How to revive a dead marriage." He looks at the book amused. Right this moment, I want the ground to swallow me up. "Is your marriage with my brother really dead?" Is he really asking this question? "Give the book back." I dragged it out of hands. "You know the only problem in your marriage is me." He smirked, I wish he was the only problem.

“You had no advice to give me, did you?” “Technically, I do. Inside this book.” He smiled, and I couldn’t help but smile, too. “I guided your brother some weeks ago, with your mother’s help, of course, to one of these books. Unlike this one, that book held the truth he now knows concerning the lies his father told him.” I reached for the book and flipped it open. It was blank. “Unless you thought this was funny, the pages are all blank.”

“A bother? It wasn’t bothersome at all.” “Brother’s scent…… I like it.” Then he brought up my body scent again. I don’t know why he keeps mentioning the smell, but he seemed like a child longing for his mother’s scent, so it was quite cute. Even though he was growing so tall, I didn’t feel bad about him acting spoiled. Usually, guys say it’s gross when brothers act cute, but I still don’t understand why they say that. Just looking at him makes me feel warm and fuzzy and my lips naturally relax.

Katrina turned at the feel of his closeness, and she almost collided with him. The air between them tightened, charged, and her pulse suddenly became loud in her ears. She barely had time to inhale before he leaned in and kissed her, swift and silencing every thought in her head. When he pulled back, Katrina stared at him, a bit stunned, her lips parted slightly. “Do brothers kiss their sisters like that?” Jace asked quietly, his gaze still lingering on her lips.
