Isa said, and I looked at my brother in surprise. I stepped closer, but I didn’t say anything; I just looked at him and waited. It was only a few minutes, but it felt like hours. Elena’s POV “Well,” his jaw tightens and he runs his hand through his hair pacing back-and-forth in the middle of the room before stopping in front of me. I was settled on a chair close to my table, waiting for him to spill whatever he had to. “We are called the shadows,” he begins. “We pull forgotten omegas and rogues out of the slum before destruction can meet them.” My breath catches. “Like your mission is to rescue them?” I have to ask because I don’t know if there’s more to it. It just doesn’t make sense that two brothers would be that different.
