Bubbling Feeling In Chest Left Side Novels & Stories

I’m left with an unsteady heartbeat and clenching in my lower stomach. That is just misleading.

“Before we begin, I want to ask—was there anything you didn’t mention earlier? Anything else you’ve been feeling that you might have forgotten to say?” The woman hesitated for a moment. She bit her lip as if debating whether to speak. Sophia noticed the hesitation. “You don’t have to be afraid. Anything you tell me will help me understand your condition better.” The woman sighed and nodded. “Actually, there is something else.” Sophia waited patiently. The woman took a deep breath. “Sometimes, I feel like my chest gets tight. It’s not exactly pain, but it feels like there’s pressure, like something heavy is sitting on my chest. It lasts for a few minutes and then goes away.”

I wasn’t sure if I liked it since I have tried so hard throughout my life to not be so transparent to others. “Something doesn’t feel right, I can’t explain it. All I know is it feels like something is seriously wrong or about to go wrong. The best way I can describe what I am feeling is that it almost feels as if there is a heavyweight on my chest, making it feel as if it is difficult to breathe.” I explained.

My mind went blank and I didn't know what to do now. I wanted to shout, to yell, to call him. I knew he will get up instantly hearing me calling him, but nothing came out of my mouth as if something was stopping me. I rubbed my throat but the words were adamant to not come out. My breathing became heavy and there was the constant pain in the left side of my chest, over my heart.

I watched her until she disappeared. Then I turned back to Levi… and that’s when I started feeling a soft burning in my chest. It wasn’t painful, not really, but it wasn’t comfortable either. After that, nothing feels right. Even when everything looks normal, my chest keeps buzzing. Like static. People rush past. Voices shout. Feet pound the floor.

Sweat comes all at once, cold, down my back and into my palms. My heart's going so hard and so wrong I can feel it in my teeth, behind my eyes, a stutter-slam-stutter no heartbeat should do. I can't get a full breath. I get the top inch of one and the rest won't come, like the air's gone solid. My left arm starts tingling. I've read about this. Everyone's read about this. The arm. The chest. The weight sitting on your chest. My vision grays at the edges, narrowing to a tunnel with the table at the end of it.

Somewhere above me, water dripped in a steady rhythm. I forced myself to sit up. My muscles screamed in protest but I managed it. Leaned back against the wall and tried to catch my breath. That's when I felt it. A pressure in my chest. Heavy and shifting. Like something was pushing against me from the inside. At first I thought it was panic. Or maybe a side effect of whatever they'd used to knock me out. But the feeling didn't settle. It moved in waves. Rising and falling. Tightening and loosening.

I asked her, too afraid to move. "What?" she asked in surprise, "in the chest, isn't it?" she sounded confused now but so was I. "I'm feeling a heartbeat," I paused as I paid more attention, "in my stomach." "In your stomach?" she repeated as I placed my hand on my stomach but I couldn't feel anything. The heartbeat was faint but I could feel it. It was like butterflies in my stomach and I'm not surprised that I couldn't feel it because it wasn't powerful. "Yes, right here," I whispered as I placed my hand on my chest to make sure my heart didn't somehow move to my stomach but the heartbeat on my chest was powerful and loud and it couldn't be in my stomach.
