The woman took a deep breath. “Sometimes, I feel like my chest gets tight. It’s not exactly pain, but it feels like there’s pressure, like something heavy is sitting on my chest. It lasts for a few minutes and then goes away.”

I wasn’t sure if I liked it since I have tried so hard throughout my life to not be so transparent to others. “Something doesn’t feel right, I can’t explain it. All I know is it feels like something is seriously wrong or about to go wrong. The best way I can describe what I am feeling is that it almost feels as if there is a heavyweight on my chest, making it feel as if it is difficult to breathe.” I explained.

My mind went blank and I didn't know what to do now. I wanted to shout, to yell, to call him. I knew he will get up instantly hearing me calling him, but nothing came out of my mouth as if something was stopping me. I rubbed my throat but the words were adamant to not come out. Sweat comes all at once, cold, down my back and into my palms. My heart's going so hard and so wrong I can feel it in my teeth, behind my eyes, a stutter-slam-stutter no heartbeat should do. I can't get a full breath. I get the top inch of one and the rest won't come, like the air's gone solid. My left arm starts tingling. I've read about this. Everyone's read about this. The arm. The chest. The weight sitting on your chest. My vision grays at the edges, narrowing to a tunnel with the table at the end of it.

Somewhere above me, water dripped in a steady rhythm. I forced myself to sit up. My muscles screamed in protest but I managed it. Leaned back against the wall and tried to catch my breath. That's when I felt it. A pressure in my chest. Heavy and shifting. Like something was pushing against me from the inside. At first I thought it was panic. Or maybe a side effect of whatever they'd used to knock me out. But the feeling didn't settle. It moved in waves. Rising and falling. Tightening and loosening.

I whip my head to my left, as if I could see anything happening in the darkness anyways. My chest began hurting again, feeling a burning sensation and I became stifled with overwhelming pressure to my lungs. They couldn’t be....

Oh God. God I can't explain what is happening to me right now. I am perspirating excessively. I can't breathe. I feel like I'm choking. My heartbeat is running in overdrive without control pounding endlessly against my rib cage. I feel like I am in a deep pit with no where to escape.

I started to rub my body after a while with a loofa, using some body wash . " Argg!" As soon as the soap water reached out my chest, I felt some kind of deep burning sensation on my right side. I opened my eyes at once and looked carefully. What the f**k was that? I saw three deep claw marks on the right side of my chest as if some wild animal put it's claw there. The injured area turned red and I saw blood accumulated there. How did I never notice it? But, there was no pain at all though... What happened with me last night?
