Bubbling In Chest Novels & Stories

My chest felt tight, like something inside me was pulling inward instead of expanding. Unstable. I gritted my teeth and pushed myself away from the door. One step. My foot touched the stone floor softly, but the sound felt too loud in my ears. My heart leapt too fast, slamming against my ribs as if it were trying to escape. Heat spread through my chest, sudden and sharp, blooming where something should have been anchored. I stopped. My breath caught halfway in, trapped and useless. Something was wrong. The room felt heavier, pressing down on me from all sides.

Sweat comes all at once, cold, down my back and into my palms. My heart's going so hard and so wrong I can feel it in my teeth, behind my eyes, a stutter-slam-stutter no heartbeat should do. I can't get a full breath. I get the top inch of one and the rest won't come, like the air's gone solid. My left arm starts tingling. I've read about this. Everyone's read about this. The arm. The chest. The weight sitting on your chest. My vision grays at the edges, narrowing to a tunnel with the table at the end of it.

When she was satisfied with her breathing and composure, she independently got up which was a very bad idea as the breathlessness hit her instantly. She felt her chest tightening like someone was squeezing it. The infamously familiar sharp stabbing pain in her chest which she couldn't handle came right after as her throat tightened, making passage of air very difficult for her. She clutched her chest and began wheezing painfully as hot tears ran down her red eyes uncontrollably.

Cherry lay on the floor in shock. Her whole body was numb and frozen in place, not even her eyes moved nor blinked. The only sign that said she was alive is the rise and fall of her chest. What wasn’t normal was the rate her heart was beating, which worsened by the second. The memories which haunted her in the past suddenly came flying through her mind like a fresh wound. The images kept flashing through her eyes it made breathing difficult and stirred up a panic attack, making her nauseous.

Badly! My throat gets tighter and sourer, probably because I am gasping uncontrollably, it is getting more painful with each passing second, my hearts is beating so fast and my lungs are burning with need for breathable air, no one is touching me but I swear I feel millions of slippery hands crawling up my body, the scary part is that I can’t see them, only feel them, they make me nauseous and disgusted, my stomach is about to burst out of my mouth with how sick and scared I am!

" I swallowed nervously. She chuckled. How I hate it when she chuckles like that. It gets me sick in the stomach. "It doesn't matter what I mean, what matters is what the person who took this picture meant by sending it to me." I didn't even notice how fast my heart was beating. It felt like it my chest could burst open at any moment. The room suddenly felt choked and all of a sudden, I felt the urgent need to gulp down water, just to relieve the tightness I felt in my chest.

Why did I immediately trust your words and promises? Still holding my chest, I could not properly breathe anymore. It felt like my throat began to constrict, and my heart was beating so fast. It was as if, at any rate, I would be experiencing a heart attack, although I didn’t have any heart disease. I was still sobbing inside the restroom when someone suddenly knocked on the door.

“My heart feels like it’s about to burst out of my chest.” I sat up in concern and cupped his face in my hands, looking for any signs of distress. “Are you alright? Can you breathe properly?” I frantically asked, looking at him worriedly. He chuckled and pulled me to the bed, cuddling into my chest once more. “You can’t even tell when I’m flirting, babe? I just want to tell you that my heart is beating fast for you.” I sighed in relief and gently slapped his chest. “You’re so infuriating.”

Elena POV Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Something heavy surged in my chest as I shifted back and realized that the breathing exercise wasn’t working. My heart started pounding fiercely against my ribs as if it couldn’t wait to get out. It definitely wasn’t fear burning in my veins as I forced myself to breathe through my nose, even as mind numbing pain travelled from my chest, to my arms, to my spine. I licked my dry lips. No, It wasn’t fear. I couldn’t allow fear come into my mind, not right now when it felt like waved were crashing against my ears.

“Did you enjoy throwing yourself at the first monster who looked your way? Did you enjoy slutting yourself out-” There’s a bubbly feeling inside of me. Harsh… popping… burning bubbles, and they’re trying to burn a hole right through me. Every second they multiply. Bubbling up, up, and up, until it feels like they have no other option but to explode out of me.
