Connor When I get there, I find Evelyn seated on a colorful-looking couch. Her hundred-pound fur baby, Bucky is sleeping beside the chair, but he senses me and wakes up, running over and tackling me with sloppy kisses. Evelyn laughs as I attempt to keep him from tackling me to the ground under his weight and the ferocity of his affection until she comes to bail me out. "Sit, Bucky." He does and she pouts at me. I force my mind back to the situation, wondering how to handle this. “Is that the kind of girl you want me to be?” I ask, my voice soft, coy. “Yes, Bambi,” Edward says, leaning forward to stare at me intently. “I like my girls…obedient. And I reward them handsomely when they do as I say.” He holds my eyes as his hand moves even higher, making me gasp a little at the gall he has to wrap his hand all the way around my inner thigh so that his fingers brush the crease where my ass meets the back of my leg. I suddenly thank god and all his angels that I wore tights today, because otherwise…

I was listening. An hour into the flight, the initial theatrics had settled into a simmering, uncomfortable quiet. Eddie sat across the aisle, his navy jacket discarded, his white shirt sleeves rolled up to reveal forearms that were tense with a strange, restless energy. Bella was perched on the edge of the seat next to him, her fingers constantly fluttering—adjusting her hair, smoothing her skirt, reaching out to touch his arm as if to reassure herself he was still there. “I thought you didn't want me to come along, Eddie,” Bella’s voice drifted over, hushed and conspiratorial, yet loud enough to pierce through my focus. “What changed your mind? Were you trying to make your wife jealous?”

Dusty glanced at her as he pushed Maggie on the swing. “You look good, Edie,” he said over his shoulder, casual as ever. She didn’t answer. “Got a little more fire in you now,” he added, still not looking at her. “He yours?” She followed his gaze toward Callum. “Not your business,” she said. Dusty smirked. “You always did like your white knights.” Eden stood then, slowly, brushing the wood chips off her jeans. She walked to where Beckett was building a crooked fort out of sticks and sat beside him.

Okay! “Ed, could you walk me to my class, please?” Beth said standing up, pleading him with her smile. “Course’” he stood up. I held her hand in my mine, “Babe, can’t you bunk?” Her eyes went wide and she pointed her eyes towards the rest. Shit! Kill me. I left her hand immediately and looked at them. They were looking at me, accusingly. Edward raised his brows. “Let’s go Ed” she said running to his side, grabbing his arm.

“But I won’t apologize for loving you a little too much.” Abby turned to face him, their knees touching now. “I don’t need you to be perfect, Edward,” she said. “I just need you to trust me. And let me breathe.” He reached up, brushing his thumb across her cheek. “I’m trying,” he said. And she believed him. They sat like that for a while. No words. Just the quiet hum of the night. Then, just as Abby was about to stand, Edward pulled her back onto the bed gently. She looked at him, surprised.

"I missed you so much Edde" Sadie moaned into Edde's mouth as Edde suddenly pulled his lips off looking closely at Sadie. "Come on Edde, continue!" Sadie Muttered as she tried pulling him closer. "Sadie!?" Edde yelled as he jerked off the bed and quickly grabbed his trousers "What are you doing here!" Edde Screeched as Sadie signed and sat up once she noticed that Edde's eyes were clear from the drink he took.
