She decided to take her leave, the Spirit made it clear that she wasn’t going to be of any help to Diego. She walked out the room disappointed. “One last thing,” the Spirit halted Diego as she left. Diego turned and looked at her. The Spirit winked, “Your life sucked anyway.” Diego just walked away. DIEGO

I turned slowly to look at Faith—the real Faith—who was still standing near the window, her expression unreadable. “What the hell was that?” I asked finally, my voice barely above a whisper. Faith didn’t answer right away. Her gaze was fixed on the door, as if she could still see the impostor walking away. Then she looked at me, her glowing eyes serious. “That,” she said slowly, “was my fake twin.” I frowned, confused. “Your fake twin?” Faith nodded. “She’s not human, Sofia. She’s a shadow spirit. She copies the appearance of people to get close to their targets. She must have been sent here by someone.”
