BULLIED BY THE ALPHA PRINCE

BULLIED BY THE ALPHA PRINCE

My job should be more of talking to the supports, handing out badges, and asking for votes – yet here I am, baking cookies. A far cry from what I sighed up for. I go right into it though, throwing in some eggs and flour and some sugar, then some baking powder and vinegar… Those go in too, right? I begin to perceive the subtle scent of smoke hovering over my head and it takes a few more seconds before it dawns on me that the cookies are burning. In a haste to bring them out, I grab a mitten, pulling out ten toasted lumps of charcoal and letting out a tired sigh. I’m really not cut out for this shit.

This book is chefs kiss. This is one of the few books we’re the main female character isn’t a push over. She doesn’t always make the best decisions put she makes the tough one. The whole story line flows well and each character has a unique story behind them. I cannot wait when the book is completed

THE MAFIA AND THE ARTIST

THE MAFIA AND THE ARTIST

“What’s antipasto?” “Are you kidding? Lettuce, roasted peppers, olives, anchovies, and cheese mainly. Then on the dessert table we have Baci DiDama, which are hazelnut meringue sandwiches filled with chocolate. We have cherry- almond star cookies, and pignoli—those are pine nut cookies. My aunt Lily makes a mean rainbow cookie with an almond filling, even though she’s not Italian. And of course you’ll find some cannoli and various fruits.”

Red Velvet & Anemones (Pagosa Cliff, Book One)

Red Velvet & Anemones (Pagosa Cliff, Book One)

Milli carefully arranged the iced shortbread cookies the Church Ladies’ Auxiliary had ordered for the evening service on several large trays. She had made almost two hundred more than needed to make sure the twelve hundred she brought tonight were perfect. Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. McConnell had oohed and awwed over the blue and white iced stars. Each cookie covered in two colors of flares, swirls, dots, and loops; this filigree work had taken a long time. The six-pointed stars looked more like abstract snowflakes or quilted ornaments than cookies. They were art, her art, but they were also an offering, each made with a prayer for her son while she ignored the inevitable.

Who's the Substitute Now?

Who's the Substitute Now?

In an attempt to sound casual, she continued, "There are indeed many people eager to attend it. Otherwise, Josh also wouldn't fail to secure an invitation." She was emphasizing that Joshua didn't receive an invitation. However, Carly seemed oblivious to her words. Instead, her attention was drawn to the exquisite cookies on the table. There were pink almond milk cookies on the small plate. The cookies had exquisite patterns and were petite in size. They were delicately crafted into bunny shapes, looking both charming and adorable. Carly smiled as she reached out for a cookie. "These cookies look exquisite, especially the bunny-shaped ones," she commented, feeding a small piece straight into

Then she turned and walked out of the room. I picked up a peanut butter cookie and Daniel chuckled, “Those are still your favorite?” I smiled, “Yes and so are sugar cookies.” Daniel laughed, “I’m glad I asked her to make them.” Jace asked, “Lacey, what about you? What’s your favorite cookie?” She smiled, “I’m all about the chocolate. I love chocolate cookies with chocolate chunks.” He laughed, “I’m the same way. Except I love No-Bake cookies.”
