“Do I know how to pick ‘em, or what?” “Pick what?” Caitlyn asked, stepping through the doorway and completing their foursome for the night. She was wearing a tight black and white diamond patterned sweater over a short black leather skirt and black nylons. Her four-inch heels made her a slightly taller than Leesa, who was wearing flats. “Men,” Cali said, linking her arm through Andy’s. Caitlin grinned. “In that shirt, he certainly looks good enough to eat. Which reminds me, I’m hungry.”

Caitlin cried, feeling she had nothing left to live for. She reached down and picked her up, cradling in her arms, hugging her tight to her chest. Caitlin could feel her little body in her arms, and at that moment, she would give anything, anything, to bring her back. “I would do anything!” Caitlin yelled up to the sky. “Do you hear me!?” she screamed out to the universe, like a mad woman. “Anything. I would give up anything to have Scarlet back again. I VOW! ANYTHING!”

At least someone in this family had manners. Hannah nodded. She then glanced at Andrew. Andrew tensed up and sat up straight. He nodded to Kaden, whom he rarely spoke with. Andrew said, "Quick, wash your hands. We've been waiting for you." Kaden was bewildered, but he maintained his smile. "Alright, Andrew." There were two more members of the family. One of them was the second child, Anthony Winchester. His whereabouts remained unknown. The other was the fourth child, Naomi Winchester. She was abroad.

"I heard he personally handled your case. He must've put in a great deal of effort." A shy smile appeared on Caitlin's face, and her tone lightened. "Yes, Andre really helped a lot. He gathered evidence so I could sue my ex-husband while also staying by my side to protect me. If he hadn't stepped in, I might've died because of that lunatic long ago." Watching Caitlin speak so sweetly as she reminisced about such traumatic memories, Roxanne stood still for a moment. Then, she suddenly blurted out a rather inappropriate question, "Do you like Andre?"

They dropped all around her like flies. And still, they kept coming. Caitlin grabbed a long staff off the ground—the one that had belonged to Aiden—and let out an unearthly shriek as she swung it. She swung in huge circles, and within moments knocked down dozens more. Soon the perimeter widened, as she knocked down row after row of vampires. Dozens dropped in a single blow, and she kept swinging, until hundreds were knocked out within minutes.

"Maybe you’re right. Maybe I should destroy these papers. I’d hate to think that disgusting Walter and Ray would find a way to use them against anyone. That man is a sociopath. I mean it, Raven, he’s truly sick." Reluctantly Caitlin began to gather up reams of paper and carry them to the fireplace. Her notebooks she hesitated over. She had collected a tremendous amount of folklore, beautiful stories really, along with scientific data. She hated to lose them. Taking a huge breath, she tossed them into the hearth as well and threw a match in after them.
