Immortal Cravings

Immortal Cravings

Leaning my head against the door, I strained my hearing and listened as my brother sobbed in the room beyond. Of all the vampires who had to be taken… why did it have to be Trey? Why couldn’t someone have taken Korin? He we could deal without. “Rhayden?” I lifted my head and looked to the side to Tony. “Tony?” “Is Lord Raynes in?” I looked back at the door for a few seconds, then stood back, and turned to Tony. “I would give him some time, Tony. He’s just got word of the loss of Trey and Sasha. He’s not in a good way.”

The Azure Moon Series - Complete Collection

The Azure Moon Series - Complete Collection

I guess it’s time we all figured out what is going on. “Max, would you take Jaxon and Eden to play upstairs? Only for a short while. We have some grown-up business to speak to each other about.” Rayne asked Max. Max wanted to be included, but Rayne told him he would explain things to all of them once he had figured things out himself. “Come on, you two,” Max reluctantly agreed and off they went. We all got a drink and sat around the table. Rayne started the conversation by telling us all how he was the oldest of his four siblings, Autumn, Gale and Summer. He left the Forest Green Pack to follow his dream job in the Royal Guard, which is how he met Nathan.

This is not right. I read all the individual books until the war in the palace when the wolf council are defeated. Now that I am re reading, I have to pay again for the chapters that has already been paid. You also cut off Nik's story in the middle and made the half as book 4. official complain.

RAINE

RAINE

Hell, there are times I expected everything to go my way and I had a fit if they didn't. I opened the door to my office, ready to go about my normal routine, when the words "Good Morning" hit my ears. I stopped in my tracks, ears recognizing the males' voices before I saw their faces. Mr. Spencer sat in a chair, his back facing me, while Shane stood off to the side of my desk. If my name wasn't Raine McClaren, I'd surely be running off in the opposite direction. Instead, I placed a very welcoming smile upon my face.

Shane starts to clap his hands enthusiastically as a bright smile paints his face "Girl, all the men will be patty in your hands." He smirks just as the intercom buzzes. "Behave okay and be careful." he flicks me on my ass as he makes his way to the door, I stroll behind him. "Hello?" “Hey” Rayon says “She’ll be down shortly.” "Bye, Shane." I flash him a smile as I exit the room. Outside, Rayon is waiting dressed in a nice black-on-black tuxedo. He looks good. A faint smile pulls on the corner of his mouth as his eyes finds mine.

Alpha's Hidden Luna

She couldn’t run. She couldn’t fight Xavier openly. But maybe… maybe there was a third way. A way to expose him before he exposed her. She wiped the back of her hand across her face and kept walking. ---- Rayne didn’t sleep that night. Not a second. She sat on her bed, knees pulled to her chest, staring at the clock on the wall. It was almost midnight. Her stomach churned with dread. Her skin still crawled from Xavier’s words, his ultimatum echoing over and over in her head.

Rayne didn’t know, but she would find out. “Rayne?” Nix called from the hallway. She turned toward the shifter with a sad smile. Rayne wiped the tears off her face, not wanting Nix to know she had been crying. “Yes?” Rayne said, still trying to gather her wits about her. Nix surprised her by hugging her. Rayne wasn’t used to Nix hugging like this. They broke apart when Aarshon came into the room.

he tells me, before scooping me up into his arms. Before I can even reply though, I suddenly feel my body instantly heat up again and within a matter of minutes, everything goes black. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Rayne's P.O.V "Go get me my sisters and tell them to meet me in my bedroom and quickly. This is an emergency." I tell one of my workers, as soon as I see one in sight. He quickly nods his head before rushing off and I quickly rush Autumn to my room. I lay her down on my bed and quickly rip her dress from her body, doing my best to help get her cooled down.

“What is it?” At first, I didn’t think he was going to answer, “You are right. We need to tell them all about you.” “Why now? What happened?” He sighed and came over and sat down on the edge of the bed again. He reached over and touched my face, and I closed my eyes at his touch. When I opened them, he was still watching me. “We had not counted on that when you come forth, Rayna’s ability stops working.” “What do you mean?”

Alpha's Dirty Secrets

Alpha's Dirty Secrets

Until that day, he would always hate himself for what he had done to her, what he had made her. Dayton was reading a book, unable to sleep in the unfamiliar surroundings. He rested against the headboard, curious as to what had been going on in the Alpha's house. He had seen the vampires arrive with their mates, heard the soft murmur of indistinct voices behind the library door. It was clear some kind of meeting was taking place and he suspected it had something to do with him and Rayne. He wasn't surprised when his bedroom door opened silently and Rayne slipped inside with her customary smile. She was still dressed, despite the late hour. He didn't find that too surprising, either. Frequently Asked Questions

Raney is one of those books that sneaks up on you with its depth. At first glance, it seems like a simple story about a small-town Southern woman adjusting to marriage with a liberal Northern man, but it’s really about the quiet collisions of culture, identity, and personal growth. Clyde Edgerton does this brilliant thing where he lets Raney’s voice—naive, stubborn, but oddly endearing—carry the whole narrative. You see her biases and blind spots, but also her resilience. The theme isn’t just 'clashing worldviews'; it’s about how love forces us to question the unspoken rules we’ve lived by. Raney’s journey from certainty to uneasy self-awareness is painfully relatable. And the humor! The way Edgerton mines comedy from her missteps without ever mocking her makes the themes land even harder.

What stuck with me, though, is how the book avoids easy resolutions. Raney doesn’t suddenly abandon her upbringing, nor does her husband 'win' the ideological debates. It’s messier than that—like real life. The theme lingers in that uncomfortable space where change happens slowly, through tiny compromises and accidental revelations. I reread it last year and caught so many nuances I’d missed before, like how food traditions or church gossip become battlegrounds for bigger ideas. It’s a masterclass in using character to explore societal divides.
