Claire clapped happily. “I’m wearing the same dress as mommy!” Her smile was so wide, I sighed quietly. We were going to the police station, not a party.

Claire hissed as she walked past us. I stared at her, eyes narrowing with astonishment. She was wearing a tight, sleeveless, gold dress, which exposed her upper thighs. “Where're you going?” I questioned but she didn't respond.
