Call Of The Spear Novels & Stories

*Theo's POV* I drove alongside my fellow men, their motorcycles speeding intricately through the dense forest. The air was thick with tension as we mentally prepared for a potential vampire attack. Each of us gripped our weapon tightly, eyes darting in every direction, scanning for any signs of danger. My comrades, their faces etched with readiness, exchanged words of encouragement and shared brief moments of levity to cool their nerves. "Stay sharp, lads," I called out, my voice carrying above the sound of the engine rums. "We've dealt with these bloodsuckers before, and we'll do it again."

The spear flew. Lightning illuminated its arc—white, sharp, inevitable. Jenna didn’t have time to scream. David tackled her sideways. The spear tore through the space where her throat had been just a heartbeat earlier, burying itself deep into a tree trunk with a brutal thunk. Jenna hit the ground hard, breath knocked from her lungs. Mud splashed around them, the taste of soil hitting her tongue. Steeve stumbled beside her, crashing to his knees. Behind them, the Bone King roared—angry, wounded pride echoing like thunder.

I was lounging at home, scrolling through social media, when a livestream title suddenly caught my eye—"The Other Woman Crash Course." Curious, I entered to see a woman talking animatedly, "My sugar daddy gives me 200,000 every month. I just need to keep him satisfied!" Viewers were doubtful and asked, "I don't believe you. Tell us how you two met." She smiled. "That's alright. You don't get to meet someone like that every day. I met him after doing a bone marrow transplant with his girlfriend three years ago. That's how I met this golden bachelor." I frowned. I had a bone marrow transplant three years ago too. Suddenly, the door opened, and she covered her phone in panic. A man's deep

"The Hudson slave is finally dead. My Romanov shadow has arrived. A victim cries for justice; a Queen executes with a smile. You’ll have exactly that, Veronica. I will give you the world, and I will let you use it to crush them." He leaned down, his mouth ghosting over my ear, his breath hot against my skin. "Sleep now. At dawn, my staff will bring your battle armor. You aren't going back to that mansion to ask for a signature. You're going there to notify them of their extinction. I want you to look like a goddess of war when you walk through those doors."

"Send word to the Fort! We need reinforcements, now!" But before his men could even move, a spear flashed past his right ear. It moved so fast that it made a sound as it cut through the air. The weapon struck the creature behind him and killed it instantly. Then, without slowing down, the spear ricocheted off the ground and flew into another creature and another one and another one until seven of them were taken down by one spear within the blink of an eye. George froze for a while with his eyes wide. "What in the heavens is this?"

Oscar spoke into the radio which was followed by more silence. Kimberly looked into her binoculars and saw eight children playing a game of soccer on the open space in front of the huts. She dropped the binoculars and reached for a small carton from her backpack. She removed a stick of cigarette from the pack, lit it and took a long drag. There was static from the radio once again. “Alpha to base over.” Oscar repeated. Three seconds later, the gruff voice of the colonel was heard. “Alpha, this is base over. I read you loud and clear. What is the situation over there?”

That was when Caleb's hands released the spear time and slithered smoothly forward like a serpent. Then, he clenched a fist and punched Lapon! Boom!!! A loud rumble echoed, followed by Lapon's screams as Caleb pulverized his entire right arm! And even as his blood and flesh splattered everywhere around him, Caleb had already snatched his spear and swung it at his face! Pow! Lapon screamed again as he was sent flying backward. Whoosh! Shunk! In an instant, Caleb launched the spear, and it tore through Lapon's chest audibly, with the tip then nailing Lapon to the wall!

The sales department organized a team-building trip and turned it into a killer-instinct trail race, with a $30,000 prize for the winner. I volunteer with a search and rescue team, and I stayed up all night mapping the safest route with supply points along the way. The new VP they had parachuted in tore up my map right before we set out. "What's the fun in a paved trail? We take the undeveloped Wildman Gorge. That's how you show real killer instinct! "To keep anyone from cheating with GPS, everyone hands over their communication devices." I pointed at the thunderheads on the horizon and tried to stop him. Wildman Gorge floods easily, and going in without radios was suicide. Instead, he smash

"Not the time for that question." The spear butt slammed his chest guard. "Disable them, leave them breathing to spread the word." The distant battle cries grew louder. I saw the fire in his pupils— the ruthlessness unique to the southern border wolves. As over a hundred shadows lunged, my silver spear twirled in hand. The front-rank spears thrust toward me. I leaped onto my spear shaft, hearing the muffled cracks behind— they overextended, spears embedding into comrades' backs. Paisley's whip coiled around all spear shafts like a snake. Her laughter and spittle flew, "Adelaide, keep it up!"
