Autumn stood in the entrance, taking in the scene, the unconscious Kael on the floor, Callie with flames dancing around her hands. A slow, proud smirk spread across her face.
"Damn, girl," Autumn said, stepping inside. "Remind me not to piss you off."
She started moving toward Callie, but Callie immediately scooted backward, her hands still raised, fire still burning.
"Stay back," Callie warned, her voice shaking.
Autumn stopped, her smirk fading into confusion. "Callie, it's me. We're here to rescue you."
