Chapter 28 Frederick couldn’t stay still in his room as he held his phone. He was pacing back and forth, both nervous and excited. After hesitating until ten o'clock, he finally couldn’t take it anymore and hit the dial button. He called Zeus’s number to find out the current situation. He was slightly worried. What if his plan didn’t work? He raised an eyebrow. Several rings had passed, but Zeus still wasn’t answering the call. A grin crept onto Frederick’s face. Maybe Zeus was busy with his useless cousin? Just then, his phone rang. He checked who was calling—it was only Marcella.

"What? Where am I?" Freya screamed, her voice cracking as she jolted awake. The room was filled with the loud, continuous buzzing of her phone. She scrambled to find it under the heavy, silk covers. Her eyes widened when she saw the screen. Twenty missed calls? "Oh no," she whispered. It was Anastasia. Her best friend must have been calling her all night long. Freya dropped the phone on the bed, her heart racing as she tried to remember how she got here. The last thing she saw was the dark alley, the men in black suits, and that mysterious, handsome man holding a silver gun. She remembered the world spinning, and then... nothing.

I called it thrice more before it connected with a soft beep. “Hey , what's up Man?." Freddie asked,his black American accent betraying his resolve to sound British. I chuckled, feeling glad that I had reconnected with an old friend. “I was hoping we could hang out. I have a lot of things I would love to discuss and talk about with you if that's okay?." I asked,my voice demanding. Freddie noticed the excitement in my voice. " You sound pretty excited today. Where would you like us to meet up? Street life's been draining me lately. I need to cool off before I have a cardiac arrest. Where is the location?.” Freddie asked,his eagerness escalating.

Freddy announced to Killian reluctantly, “He hasn’t heard back from her.” Killian drew in a sharp breath and shut his eyes from some seconds before standing from his seat. “Let’s go!” He said as he walked towards the door. “What? Go to where?” Freddy asked, looking all confused. “Where else? To wherever her agency is. This was all your idea. No one gets to say no to me, Fred. No one!” Freddy watched Killian pull out his phone and dial a number. “Bring the car to the front.” Killian made a call to his driving quarters.

Roy's POV Opera? Concert? Was Freddy stimulated by something? Is he haunted? Freddy says, "Choose what women in their early twenties like to watch." I am finally enlightened. I cover my mouth and snicker. Remembering that I am talking on the phone, and he can not see me snickering, I put down my hands and laugh wantonly and silently. "Yes, Alpha, I will book the ticket and will send you the information." I come to the Barnett Group the next morning.

Gramer yelled angrily. "Mr. Gramer, I had hundreds of millions of viewers on my channel last night. I also unleashed Phantasmagoria successfully. I have no idea why those people weren't affected in any way!" Frederick mimicked Millie's voice, making it tremble, as if he was in fear. Gramer was silent for a moment. "Don't contact me for a while. Someone will get in touch with you when the time comes," he said softly before hanging up. When Frederick tried to call him again, the number was out of service.

Wait; give me your phone. “Quick,” Kiera said, handing her phone to Freya, curious about what she had in mind. Freya quickly entered her contact information and handed it back with a smile. "Now we can stay in touch," she said. "I'll text you later so we can plan our next hangout!" With a wave of goodbye, Freya hurriedly left the workplace, leaving Kiera feeling excited about the prospect of their future friendship.

Walking down them you could easily tell the temperature drop and the moisture in the air became more prominent. The smell of mildew grew stronger as I went lower and lower down in to the cells, but what caught my attention was the shouts. “Tell me!” The sound of metal slamming together echoed through the tight hallway and I knew instantly who the voice belonged to. “I would rather die than speak to your kind you mutated fucking bastard!” Cassius came into view and so did Eladia who was gripped on to the bars she was held captive by. Both looked like they could rip each other’s heads off if given the opportunity.

When Lucas walked out of the bathroom, he discovered that there had been several missed calls on his phone, all the calls had come from a single person; Greg Freeman. Lucas squinted. Greg Freeman again? Is anything the matter with him? He had called him earlier and he didn't answer because he was with Pamela. What happened? He decided to call the latter back. "Thank goodness,Lucas, that you answered your phone. There's been an emergency and Freddie is in the hospital. We need a deposit for him to be operated upon. I couldn't raise half of the deposit despite adding up my entire savings, can you help save Freddie's life?" Greg asked, his voice shaking.

I said feeling slightly annoyed, this can't be happening, not today! "Remember it's important, sir," "Nothing is more important than my own mother," I yelled, making Sarah look at me confused at my sudden outburst. What a way to ruin someone's mood. I took a deep breath, remembering this too would make her happy and proud. "Okay, I will meet you at the airport, get everything set," I informed him before hanging up the phone and turning to Sarah. "Stop the car!" I ordered Amayas. The car stopped, revealing we were at a high school entrance.
