The words left my lips in a whisper,
I must’ve looked like a goddamn clown.
I pushed the thought aside, dragging my hoodie over my head. Black on black—dark jeans, a fitted hoodie, gloves tucked into my back pocket. The face mask, smooth and folded, sat in my palm for now. I would need it later.
