Every head turned towards the voice. “Hayden Reid!” Olivia exclaimed in a high-pitched voice, acting like a little girl. “Is there a problem?” Hayden asked, standing beside me. “No problem here,” Olivia responded with a forced laugh. “My name is Olivia, and I’m the head of your fan club.” Hayden nodded, but he looked uninterested. “We should go,” Olivia muttered, nervous. She brought out her phone with shaky hands and took a picture of Hayden before disappearing with her friends.

In the distance, near the mouth of the cave where the moonlight filtered in, I saw them. Two glowing eyes. They were staring directly at me. “Who are you?!” I demanded, my grip tightening on my children. “If you're a threat, I’ll alert the guards!” The figure stepped out of the shadows, the moonlight catching the sharp features of her face. A smirk played on her lips. “Miss me, Aria?” My stomach did a slow flip as I realized who had found me. “O-Olivia…”

A video recording opened. The screen stayed black for a few seconds. Then her voice came through—Olivia’s voice. But not the soft-spoken, innocent one he knew. This one was sharp. Mocking and Cold. "She thinks she's smart, but I've always been ten steps ahead." Adrian blinked, stunned. Then the screen lit up. Olivia’s face appeared. But it wasn’t the Olivia he was used to. There was no gentle smile. No innocent expression. Her face was bare, and her lips were twisted into something between a smirk and a sneer. She looked relaxed, almost too pleased with herself.

OLIVIA "Are you okay?" I hear Nathan's voice in my head, but it feels like I am not really hearing him. It is as if my subconscious mind hasn't registered his voice enough to register that he's called my name. "Olivia," Nathan calls my name. I blink a few times, tearing my gaze away from my phone and up to Nathan's face. "Are you okay?" He asks again. I force a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine," I reply, hoping I sound more convincing than I feel.

Glen replied. As Dean started whipping the eggs with milk, he wondered when they’d hear something from the kidnapper. When and how they would get proof of life? Would a picture appear via a text message on Olivia or Dean’s phone? Had the caller been authentic? Maybe it really was a hoax, but if so, what had happened to Eli? She wore a pair of jeans and a white blouse with a smart camel-colored blazer. She looked strong and in control.

“I’m too tired to answer your questions, dear.” Olivia shrugged and mind-linked me, ‘let it be morning, then. But I want the truth and real reasons.’ Letting an exasperated sigh out, I replied to her, ‘I never lied to you.’ “Welcome to the family and pack, princess,” Olivia dramatically bowed to her and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at her drama. “Please, call me Elara and thank you so much. You’re so sweet.” She looked at me with an amused expression and I just turned my face to the stairs.

This time Oliver flinched when he heard Callum reply. The man looked Oliver up and down and continued in English. "Took you a while, Red." "Xiao Zhi, I've missed you too."Callum pulled a chair and Oliver sat in the other empty seat opposite his employer. The man with the painted lips followed and sat in Zhi's lap. Oliver remembered what had happened in the dressing room and the gossips about Callum's mistresses.
