“How will you get it?”
“Swim, and hopefully not be drowned,” he chuckled and drew Coryfe to a halt so he could slide off and place the spell components upon the road before us. As he remounted, he looked up at the birds that circled with a baring of teeth. “Follow this,” he challenged them. “Aperianu.”
“Are you going to run out of my hair soon?” I asked him as he urged Coryfe through the opening. The horse no longer found the smell of magic to be worrisome, I noted. Like myself, Coryfe had become changed through his experiences with Rivyn.
