The message was sent, left unread, and she felt her anxiety rise with each passing moment, waiting for his reply. Upon waking up, her face scrunched up with distress as she forced herself out of the bed. After showering and ensuring she was presentable, she checked her phone, hoping desperately to see missed calls or messages from him. But to her horror, there were none. Instead, the blank empty screen mocked her, taunting her with its silence and absence of any communication from him. His sudden disappearance and the lack of contact was filling her with growing worry and unease.

He was done with me and the worse part is that he left without a word. He just left. No messages. No phone calls. Not even a fucking voicemail! Every single time I heard your voice, I wanted nothing more than to run back to you. Every time I stared at your pictures it hurt so much. I could not focus, and I wasn’t happy. And I missed you like crazy”

Nothing. I swipe up, check our last conversation for the hundredth time. It was brief. Distant. Polite. The kind of message you send to someone you’ve decided not to love anymore. My thumb hovers over the contact marked Unknown—a number I’ve memorized, though I never gave it a name.

Lucian had told me somethings about Cara which were wipped out from my memory. I desperately wanted my memory back, but I didn't think it was a good idea. I bet we made promises to each other in the past, and here I was, sure we broke many of those vows. Maybe it was best I lost my past memories about her.
