He only smiled.
“Ah, Rio-chan. I hope you don’t mind. Haato-kun seems lonely in his room, so I take him here to bake. And look, he made something beautiful!” The elderly lady beside him gestured for the group to look at the counter where there were several flowers and leaves made from caramel.
Rio giggled when Ishida showed her the flower caramel he had made, and that earned him another pat on the cheek. Just, this one wasn’t sticky.
“Oh I didn’t know you have a knack for food art, Haato-kun.” Rio said, smiling warmly at him. “You are so full of surprises.”
