Obey me, Dean (Short Story )
The door swung open to reveal Lancaster, a wide, triumphant grin splitting his face.
“Hey, man,” Lancaster said, the picture of relief and excitement. “Were you able to switch it?”
Carlos didn’t move. He didn’t smile back. His expression remained carved from stone. Without a word, he shoved past Lancaster, forcing his way into the house.
The smile vanished from Lancaster’s face, replaced by bewildered confusion. “Did something go wrong?”
Carlos turned slowly to face him, his eyes burning with cold fury.
“We need to talk.”
