Its pages were filled with cute animals and simple drawings—the kind of content the kids could easily follow. I lowered myself onto the floor on the other side of the group. "Hey, kids," I said softly, a smile warming my voice. A few of them turned toward me. I opened the book and began reading in a relaxed, natural tone. "Once upon a time, there was a little bunny who absolutely loved carrots."

“Would you like to have cake then, it’s good” I picked a small tray up, offering it to him. “Not a fan of cake, maybe carrot cake but no… I’ll pass” “Carrot cake? I don’t mean to sound rude but eww” I shuddered, dropping the tray of cake. He laughed. “I get that a lot” “Well, you can help yourself out at the other end of the table with those huge carrots, you have pretty good teeth. One bite and I promise it’ll feel just like cake” I winked at him, getting tired of eating already.

POPPY I was reading the book that Indy gave me, and goodness, it was sweet. It was so sweet that it made the marshmallow I was eating taste even sweeter than before. I stared down at the fluffy white marshmallow between my fingers and then slowly looked back at the open book resting on my lap. The two of them together felt like too much. I held the marshmallow up suspiciously, then looked at the book again. Finally, with a sigh, I shook my head and muttered to myself, “I can only have one of you.”

Carla that changed her mood. Different emotions flowed in her heart because of the taste of what she tasted. Hana smiled at what Mrs. Carla said and said, "No, Mrs. Carla, can your eyes lie? You saw how I made the cake. But even before Hana had finished what she was saying, Mrs. Carla put another piece of cake in her mouth, "Awful! This cake is really delicious! This is the flavor I've been looking for ... for a long time!" Then she looked at Hana and said, "Can you give me a cake recipe like this and have me bake it with my cook whenever there is a special occasion in my house?"

Caroline wasn't at home, so I had to do the shopping for food items. As I turned into the next aisle, something caught my eye. Coloring books. I stopped. I picked one up and flipped through it. Bright outlines. Fairy tales. Animals. Castles waiting to be painted in color. A small smile formed on my lips. Tracy would love this. I picked three different ones and placed them carefully in the cart. “She’s going to be so happy,” I murmured to myself. After paying, I gathered the heavy bags and made my way toward the automatic sliding doors. At that exact moment, someone rushed in from the outside. We collided with a sharp thud.

Carrots were received with great enthusiasm, under a friendly crunch, he took the children into the house, and he himself went hunting for chickens. The bird scattered with a noise, I had to run, but in the end Vic drove a couple of birds into a corner of the yard and without hesitation twisted their necks. His fingers twitched as he feverishly pulled out feathers, causing blood to run down his pale skin. He returned to the house with naked carcasses, found a pot in the spacious kitchen, filled it with water and put both chickens in it. At this rate , she'd never get over Brad Sumners. She sighed, blowing her bangs out of her eyes, then reached for the grater and started grating the carrot chunks for the zucchini muffins. Taking out her anger on the carrots was hardly the adult thing to do...especially given their shape and resemblance to a certain portion of male anatomy...but it did give her a perverse sense of satisfaction. She scraped the carrots into a waiting bowl then reached for a zucchini. As she julienned the zucchini, she felt a steel edge of determination harden within her.

She smiles up at me cheekily. "Daddy messed up the cake, but he's bringing up a cupcake for you." She mock whispers, "It's carrot, " she says disgustedly. "I think..." My mum starts to say coming to sit beside me." Carrot is a delicious flavour. " I steal a glance at Nicole, but she's already staring back at me with a disgusted face. She sticks out her tongue and shakes her head. I laugh, in the assured and carefree manner of someone who knows with every fibre of her being that she is loved.

“Carlos, you eat yourself, or I feed you? You are a little man now, and you shouldn’t cry so easily.” Scarlett coaxed him and said, “Oh, my sweetheart, you eat yourself; when you finish, I will tell you a story.” Scarlett held back her anger and put on a smile, and continued, “How about the story of the Three Little Pigs? That's your favorite story, right?” Carlos was interested, and then Francis put the bowl in front of his child's chair. After that, Carlos picked up his spoon and started eating slowly. He ate one bite after another without complaint.
