I let out a sigh of relief, forcing another smile out as she doesn't stop staring at me. "Can I know your name, please? I’m happy you helped out.” “ Sure. I’m Anastasia, and you?” I glance at Karina, but she remains quiet and watches what’s going on. “Uhm.. I'm... Zay. Nice to meet you.” She puts a hand on my hair and parts it a little before she walks away. But immediately she left, there’s an unsettled feeling within me. "Uhm.. are you okay?” Karina clears her throat at my sudden silence, and I blink, coming back to where I was.

I heard, faint and distant and entirely clear, a four-year-old voice saying: Yay! I leaned against the corridor wall of the Richard J. Daley Center courthouse. I closed my eyes. I breathed. All primary claims. Yay.

The sixth program was Yaya, Burly, and Shane's sketch. "Sister Yaya, Shane, Burly, come on!" Karen Joy cheered for them as they were about to go on the stage. Yaya smiled and said, "Okay, you can continue cheering for us then." Burly said, "Actually, I need an encouraging kiss. If Little Jar could give me an encouraging kiss, we can perform better." Shane kicked Burly's butt and said, "Don't think too much, boy. Our Little Jar's way beyond your league."

His eyes glittered as he saw me and butterflies filled my belly. Kayden almost jumped in excitement when she saw her friend, Tom and I allowed her to sit across from him. Before I knew it, they were already talking about their favorite cartoons. “Don't tell me, you don't watch Barbie,” Kayden said disappointed. “Barbie is for girls and weak boys. I watch superheroes,” Tom defended himself and I almost roared in laughter at what was happening between the both of them. “That's not true. I also watch super heroes cartoons and I feel Spider Man is better than Batman,” Kayden said and her tiny hands were placed firmly on the table.

Then, she took some pictures and sent them to Zachary. "Look, Zac. What do you think?" All the clothes she'd bought looked adorable. Noah loved them, but Zachary disliked them a lot. "As long as you like them, Mom." "Mom, how about Zac and I wear this cartoon one together? It'll be our twin attire!" Noah said with a grin. Zachary looked at the shirt with a cartoon on it and felt like his life was falling apart. There was even a huge elephant on it. After hesitating for a long while, he finally nodded under Yvette and Noah's anticipating gaze. "Sure."

Layan glances at mum with pleading eyes. “I don’t think I feel like being kind tonight,” mum teases Layan. “What Layan once did was embarrassing to me more than it was embarrassing to her. One day we were in the park, she was five, she saw a lady walking in a purple dress. With the loudest voice she could ever produce, she shouted ‘look mum, it’s Barney’.” We all laugh at what Layan did when she was a child, but she only shrugs. “In my defense, I was just practicing my knowledge about cartoons.”

Zayn POV I got even angrier. How could he do this? I had reminded him for weeks. MMB was my favorite cartoon, and they were doing a live show in New York for one night only and he forgot. I turned toward Mom, who was sitting on the couch watching me carefully. “Mom, please take me,” I begged. “Please. It’ll be over before Dad gets back.” “But your father said….” “No, Mom!” I cut her off. “I want to go!”
