Vampire's Pet

Vampire's Pet

On the left was a large window with the same color curtains, following a set of fancy, light grey couches surrounding a glass coffee table. To the right was a wide desk, with tons of organized files and papers, and next to that was a very tall bookshelf. There were two other doors, smaller than the first one. One, I'm guessing, would be the bathroom, and the other one... Maybe a closet? I turned my head to the left again and paused as I saw the thing sitting in the corner. A cage. It didn't look that much bigger than the one I've lived in for the past five years. I swallowed the sudden lump in my throat as I spotted the whip, muzzle, and a couple other things that were usually used on pets s

Ashes and Rose Petals

Ashes and Rose Petals

Cindy Grimm needed a job, and sleuthing around about former residents of her beach house did not count. Setting her laptop aside, she went downstairs to the bedroom. Rome was pacing back and forth, his manuscript in his hand, as he read his lines aloud. She watched him for a few moments, a smile on her face. He was so talented. Even without someone replying to him, she could feel the passion of the scene unfolding around her.

HOW I BECAME THE BILLIONIARE’S SURROGATE.

HOW I BECAME THE BILLIONIARE’S SURROGATE.

She put the journal on the tray and while staring at the ceiling she imagined how much her mother would have loved the irony the very diary that remained post-mortem had, in a way through her daughter, become the lead-up to the capture of her murderer. She imagined before the wind up: Surely, I will finish this for you. I only need a little more time. Cassandra showed up the third day. She came with a cup of coffee from the place on Madison without any introductory or social niceties, a direct way of handling most things - called The Cassandra way, actually. She took the visitor's seat. And by now she had stopped hiding her real self behind a filter when looking at Aria. "How bad?" "Hand. Si

OFF LIMITS: HIS BEST FRIEND'S MOTHER

OFF LIMITS: HIS BEST FRIEND'S MOTHER

Cassandra leaned closer to the peephole, her lips forming silent words. I couldn’t hear her, but I could read them. Miss me? I didn’t open the door right away. My hand hovered over the knob, heart pounding so loud it drowned out every other sound. “Liv,” Maya whispered behind me, “don’t you dare......” But I did. The door creaked open just a few inches. Cassandra’s perfume hit first—expensive, deliberate, poisonous. She stood there with a take-out cup in her hand like she’d dropped by for coffee.

Umm the tension, the forbidden chemistry, the guilt and longing, everything just worked. The author made their connection feel so real that I found myself holding my breath through most scenes. It’s not just steamy, it’s heartbreakingly beautiful. ...

The Contracted CEO: A Marriage of Convenience

The Contracted CEO: A Marriage of Convenience

Peterson, the stern and formidable head of the firm, leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on Cass. His expression was guarded, betraying no hint of sympathy. "Cassandra, I understand your passion for this case, but we've already made our decision. We won't be taking it on." Cass took a deep breath, summoning all her courage. She had prepared for this moment, and she wouldn't back down easily. "Mr. Peterson, I urge you to reconsider. The evidence is compelling, and Mrs. Anderson's child has suffered tremendously due to the negligence of the pharmacy company. We have an opportunity to make a difference in their lives, to hold those responsible accountable."

A BILLIONAIRE'S CONTRACT OF BETRAYAL

A BILLIONAIRE'S CONTRACT OF BETRAYAL

It was a dangerous game, and I knew that the stakes were higher than ever. One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and cast long shadows across our secluded estate, I received an anonymous package. Inside was a small notebook, weathered and worn, with a note that read, "The truth lies within." Curiosity mingled with trepidation as I opened the notebook. The pages were filled with Cassandra's handwriting—ramblings, fragments of memories, and cryptic clues. It was her diary, a window into her tormented soul. As I delved deeper into the pages, the puzzle began to unravel. The truth of our shared past emerged, piece by piece, revealing a shocking revelation that threatened to shatter ev

The Billionaire Heiress's Lover (The Van Dyke Sisters 3)

Cassandra wore red leather pants that clung to her hips and legs and a red long-sleeve half turtle neck with black and fuchsia slanted lines all over it. Caitlin stood. “You did, but some time has gone by and . . . I had hoped we could talk things out.” “Not enough time,” Cassandra said sternly. “Caitlin, please leave.” “Wait, please. Hear me out.” “What in the world could you possibly say that could . . . help the situation – or heal it?” “For one thing the baby.” “What about the unfortunate child?” Cassandra said haughtily. “I beg your pardon? Unfortunate?”

Too Late , I am Carrying His Child

Too Late , I am Carrying His Child

Cassandra sat in her car outside a small cafe. Her hands shook. The notebook lay on the passenger seat, pages full of names and plans. She reread the last line she had written and felt a cold on her skin. Power was close. So close it tasted like metal in her mouth. She pushed the car door open and walked in. Vanessa was already inside, sipping coffee, face calm. Cassandra slid into the seat across and stared at Vanessa for a long breath. Her face was hard now. No sweet smile. Only hunger.

My contract marriage to the moviestar billionaire

My contract marriage to the moviestar billionaire

For now, I hope that my actions will speak louder than the secrets I keep. *Silas* In the dim light of my office at the Institute, I sit behind my desk, papers scattered around me like fallen leaves. The room is quiet, save for the faint ticking of the clock on the wall. I let out a slow breath, trying to organize my thoughts after the visit to Isaac's villa. The door opens, and Cassandra steps in, her presence both soothing and unsettling. She's a force of nature, my wife, with her own agenda and secrets. Her personality and nature is both an asset and a challenge, depending on the day.
