“And before you say it,” Mia added, pointing at Cassie with her fork, “yes, I see it. You’re glowing.”
Cassie rolled her eyes. “I am tired.”
“You are in love,” Chloe countered.
“With a child,” Cassie shot back.
“And the child’s father,” Mia said lightly.
Cassie opened her mouth to protest, then closed it. The smile she gave instead told them everything.
“Oh my God,” Chloe groaned. “She’s smiling like that again.”
