CHAPTER LXIV: The Thirteenth “RAID, do you know her?” I asked him with crease in my forehead. He became stiff for a while and seemed like he was hesitating to answer my question. “Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Ophra, the chosen user of the thirteenth grace of celestial zodiacs, Ophiuchus. And one of the new captains of Black Thunders. Nice to meet you. Anyway, I’ve met Raid earlier and she helped me in carrying my things to Archmaster’s office,” the woman introduced herself and she was the one who answered my question.

Cassian moved first this time, stepping in front of me as if the right had just returned to him. "No." He thundered. Every head turned towards the both of us. He faced Kael with more courage than he had shown for me all night, which would have been laughable if it did not make my stomach churn. "You don't get to take her because you feel you have the power" Cassian thundered. “She belongs to Black Hollow and here she shall remaining" My stomach twisted in horror. Kael's gaze dropped to the space Cassian had placed himself in. "Belongs?"

Its skin was vantablack: the darkest shade of black. If I were not mistaken, Satan was depicted like that in movies, and also religious people had a similar view of him. That was the first time I had experienced such a level of terror. My body was frozen. It felt as if my organs could stop working at any time. The ghastly creature had me stupefied beyond belief. Dread and shooting pain arose in my chest area. I didn’t know what was happening. I had no strength or will to find out. “Cassidy.” Someone called and grabbed my arm. My body shuddered and collapsed like I was having a seizure.

They’re more useful alive. “They worked for Zao! They deserve to die!” Kanda drapes a cloth over my naked body, and I’m grateful. “I said they’re my men now.” “And who the fuck are you?!” another man demands. “I’m Cassiopeia. I’m the daughter of Warrick, Alpha of the Dark Fang Pack.” Whispers ripple through the crowd as the defiant men glance at each other. I continue. “And I’m next in line to be Alpha, unless he’s already dead…which would make me Alpha now.”

His heart pounded fiercely against his ribs, a mix of fear and forbidden excitement coursing through his veins. At twenty-three, Cassian was a noble omega from a respected bloodline, known for his gentle nature and quiet grace. Yet here he was, risking everything for stolen moments with the one alpha who made his entire being come alive. The thin black silk robe he wore whispered against his skin as he walked, already warm with the first hints of arousal. She showed me the luxurious rooms and beautiful gardens. Finally, Sia showed me to my room. I felt exhausted after walking through the grand mansion. My room was fully white, with accents of light blue, and the queen-sized bed, working desk, and drapes had crystal beads. I settled into the room, closed my eyes, and thought about Sia's story about my mother, Jia, and her struggles as a slave to the Blackmoon Pack alphas and how she eventually met my father. Luna Sia believed that the Blackmoon Pack had killed the pack members in war, but a plot by the Devamps cult, a hybrid of demons and vampires, caused their misery.

Xareth’s voice cracked through the room like lightning splitting a tree. In one swift motion, he seized her by the throat and lifted her clean off the ground. Her legs flailed mid-air, her fingers clawing desperately at his hand. “I warned you,” he growled, low and lethal. “If you dare meddle in my affairs again, or defy my rule, I’ll send you back to the Black Abyss.” The Black Abyss? Even through the pain clouding my thoughts, that phrase echoed in my mind. People say cruel things when they're angry, but that didn’t sound like a metaphor. That sounded like a place.

As far as I know, Tobia is always thinking of ways to kill him. "He wanted me to stop you from making a mistake. What's wrong?" That moron. As if Federico can stop me from doing something. Straightening, I smooth out my dress. Tobia is not stupid. He knows Federico can't stop me but he'll insist on coming along. So if shit hits the fan, there will be someone to take the blame for me. For some reason, that thought gives me back my confidence. Who says I'm not powerful? I have this man at my disposal. Not just him but a lot of men rely on me to put food on their table. I am the Black Queen. A failed attempt shouldn't scare me. I will scour the earth for that bastard and make him pay for trying

Calix replied nonchalantly, leaving us in shock. “I want to throw up,” I muttered, taking deep breaths as my mind was thrown into a mess. What is happening? Calix was Daphne’s mate and his father was Alpha Casper's nemesis? “How are you, Calix and Raphael?” I questioned. “Well, in the underworld, I'm known as Calix Black, but to the Blackwood pack, I'm known as Raphael Black. My father has been grooming me for this day. Before Casper's father took my father's mate, they had a son and it was me. My father, Alec paired me with Casper and made sure I won his trust. the Siren growled after them, quickly slapping her tail and crawling after the prey. With each step, the slaps behind Nocté became louder, the drugged newt pulled back her shoulder, sluggishly moving his legs. The girl didn’t have enough air, her heart was squeezed, causing pain. Nocté’s ears were plugged up. In panic, she hit one wall, then another, until the darkness parted and her palms went through the stone. The feeling of falling made her take a life-saving breath before she and Chaos crashed into the sea.
