Sudah delapan tahun aku menikah dengan Elvin Ginanjar, pemimpin mafia narkoba di Nasara. Namun pada hari ini, tepat pada hari peringatan pernikahan kami, aku menerima sebuah foto dirinya bersama sahabat terbaikku, Lina Malloni, merayakan seolah merekalah yang menikah. Suaranya bergemuruh memenuhi lorong. “Kenapa kamu selalu begitu jahat pada Lina?” Owen, anak kandungku sendiri mendorong kakiku sambil menatapku dengan marah. “Ibu jahat,” katanya. “Aku harap Bu Lina jadi ibu asli aku.” Aku tidak terkejut. Aku hanya berjalan menuju lemari, mengeluarkan setumpuk dokumen yang telah kusiapkan sejak lama, lalu menjatuhkannya di meja dengan kepastian yang dingin. “Baiklah,” kataku dengan datar. “Semua salah aku. Sekarang, bolehkah aku pergi?”

Pada hari libur semester, unggahan di status WhatsApp yang paling viral adalah tentang diriku. Judulnya adalah, "Pak Bondan membawa putranya untuk merayakan ulang tahun cinta sejatinya. Apakah dia akhirnya berencana bercerai dengan Sofia Jayadi?" Aku diam-diam menyukai postingan itu. Saat ponselku berdering, aku sedang membongkar balon-balon yang telah disiapkan untuk hari jadi pernikahan. "Sayang," ujar suamiku dengan terburu-buru, ingin memberikan penjelasan. "Anak kita tiba-tiba merengek ingin pergi ke taman bermain, jadi aku ...." Di latar belakang, terdengar suara tawa anak kami. "Ayah, Bibi bilang kalau malam ini aku bisa tidur dengannya!" Aku menatap rumah yang berantakan ini. Balon-balon tampak terkulai lemas, sementara krim di atas kue sudah mengeras. "Kamu nggak perlu menjelaskan." Aku mendengar diriku berkata, "Aku memahami semuanya." Hanya saja, kali ini semuanya akan berbeda. Aku tidak menginginkan ayah dan anak ini lagi.

Kami sudah menikah selama lima tahun. Suamiku, Derrick, pergi dinas selama setengah tahun, lalu membawa pulang cinta pertamanya, Syifa. Syifa sudah hamil lebih dari tiga bulan dan Derrick bilang hidupnya tidak mudah, jadi akan tinggal di rumahku untuk sementara waktu. Aku menolak, tetapi Derrick malah memintaku untuk jangan bersikap tidak tahu diri. Nada bicaranya penuh rasa jijik, seolah-olah dia lupa vila ini adalah bagian dari mas kawinku. Selama ini, mereka sekeluarga menggunakan uangku. Kali ini, aku memutuskan untuk menghentikan semua sokongan hidup itu. Sambil tersenyum, aku menelepon asisten. "Segera buatkan aku surat perjanjian cerai. Seorang menantu pecundang saja berani terang-terangan membawa selingkuhan pulang ke rumah."
