Andrea mumbled underneath her breath, but Jeremiah clearly heard her. "The Dahmer's are a powerful family. Rumors even have it that they're part of a mafia group in New York." Jeremiah hinted. "A mafia group in New? Where and how reliable is your source of information?" Andrea asked, pausing for a moment. "I'm an attorney not a private detective. They're just rumors I heard." Jeremiah replied in embarrassment. "I wonder what he'll think when he finds out one of his employees thinks he's in the mafia. He'll probably leave a bullet in your brain then find someone to get rid of your body." Andrea grinned evilly, causing a chill to run down Jeremiah's spine.

I don't know what that is. "Mafia? What is it?" I asked him while still frowning. "Mafia is a group of criminals, Kali. It is widespread, especially in other countries. They do money laundering and drug trafficking. They also work in the black market where they can sell everything that is stolen, like cars," he explained to mine. Suddenly, my heart pounded. I remembered Anthony's approaches to me before, and as I thought that he would come near me again, I suddenly felt fear. "Similar to our businessmen and businesswomen, they also have enemies like competitors. But the difference is, they threaten and kill each other. Based on the investigation, Anthony has killed many people," he continued

“They say he’s got another identity. He’s not just a director. He’s supposedly the godfather of La Lupa Nera. You know, Europe’s biggest mafia.” I stared at her, my mind reeling. “The La Lupa Nera? You’re joking.” “I wish I were,” she said, sitting back and crossing her arms. “I mean, it’s just a rumor, but it makes sense, doesn’t it? How else would someone his age have that much money and power? It’s kind of...exciting, don’t you think?” She grinned, clearly enjoying the drama. Exciting wasn’t the word I would use. Terrifying? Maybe.

I said lowly and she yelled out immediately. “What?? Stalked?? By who????” I squeezed my face immediately at her facial expression, “what the hell? Krystal!” I exclaimed and rolled my eyes as I turned my attention back to the road. “This is not a child’s play Madison; how can you be this cool if you think we are being stalked? Should I report this to the police? God, I love my dear life” she said “Who doesn’t?” I scoffed “You can’t report a mafia to police, I mean…forget they could be police, they can be killed and forgotten.” I replied with a shrug.

“Because he lives a different life from me. He has a farm in the countryside. He stays there with his wife and twin boys.” I smiled, imagining it. “Wow, he’s married. He’s sure the opposite of you. He lives a calm life.” Dante continued, his fingers tracing lazy circles on my back. “His grandfather and mine used to be friends and business partners, but his father took over the mafia business. He moved to the countryside and started his farming business, he raises cows and all that farm stuff. He met a girl there, they fell in love, and got married.” “That’s sweet,” I said, leaning into him. “So he’s not involved at all in the mafia?”Dante shook his head. “Not directly. He deals in arms only
