Not All That Glitters

Not All That Glitters

Margot Bogard chirped back in a sickeningly condescending tone. Ugh. Why me? Hollis pondered, scowling at Dalton the second he appeared back in the kitchen. Pretending he didn’t see it, her brother turned his attention to their bickering parents, who still hadn’t noticed their daughter standing right in front of them. “You can’t make anything easy for me, can you!?” Fifty five year old Chad ranted, towering over his wife menacingly. Despite his age, he neither acted nor looked like a man preparing to enter retirement. He’d spent a good chunk of his youth defending the city of Auburn as a police officer until a lengthy battle with cocaine drove him to leave the force. Even though Chad went on

The First Heir

The First Heir

“Kid, come on. If you can last ten moves under my hands, it’ll be considered my defeat.” Chad, who had just joined Master Tanner, was eager to make his mark and wanted to use Philip’s life to make his first contribution. “Cut the crap. I have to hurry home,” Philip said impatiently. “Damn it! You’re looking for death!” Chad was furious and took a deep breath. The bronze-colored muscles on his body became shiny. His angular muscles gradually gathered together, becoming like a flat steel plate. Master Tanner smiled smugly and said, “Has anyone seen this before? This is Chad’s unique stunt. It’s said to be the best defense technique.”

love this book...the way the writer builds up the characters most especially the ML..but i was wondering why would the ML have to endure such humiliations from his inlaws when he could just show them his real 'him' as well and the enormous power that he holds considering the status of his family...w

When we met again

When we met again

He was waiting till Chad returned from wherever his whacked up mind may have taken him. He smiled to himself as he remembered the time they had brought Chad as his partner after his partner, Wendy, had gone on an extended leave, a leave even Aaron had no idea when she would return. That faithful day, he had been on his way to go have lunch with some other officers when the chief had called him in his office. Aaron came in to see the chief alone in the room with Chad. Aaron had taken a slow profiling look at the older man, wondering where they had gotten the dude with the blond hair bothering on white. It was his fierce face that got Aaron's attention; his face had two scars, one across his f

THE UNATTAINABLE ALPHA

THE UNATTAINABLE ALPHA

Tonight, the silvery maiden's quarter orb in the night sky gleamed exceptionally bright, expressing to me that I don't need to be whole to shine. My cousin landed an awesome mate. Chad's an eye-catcher with a square-shaped face that stops hearts. He's roughly 6'4 in height of unapologetic muscles with faux-hawk neutral brown hair and light brown eyes and prominent facial features. He was smart, strategic, tough, and the overprotective kind. Additionally, he was a former football star and did not take crap from anyone. Now his admirers can only look but don’t touch.

The Pinnacle of Life

The Pinnacle of Life

“Y-Y-You… bastard! You god d-d-damn bump… kin…” Nicholas smiled. “Awh, you even called me Dada so many times, I’m flattered.” Everyone was extremely close to bursting out in laughter, even Scarlett was covering her mouth. Heather yelled. “Enough! Shut up, you loser! So what if you’re good at arguing? Can you get a wife with that? Do you even know who Chad is? Let me tell you, he’s the general manager of Sunshine Co.! That company is about to partner up with a larger company and he’s going to become one of the directors of a large corporation! His net worth would be hundreds of millions. Do you think he’s someone you can afford to provoke? Just look at yourself! Apologize to him right now, or

i thought he'd be successful going and dominating the chi universe after obtaining the fiend lord's memories and start story with Zendaya... it would have been better if the diffracted universe had not been destroyed and he finally gets to live a peaceful life after all these........ But I loved it.

Love in the Darkness

Love in the Darkness

"He tried to kill me after the third 'no' I gave, but Chad was with me. "Wait, Chad?" I asked. "Yeah. Chad is a retired Navy SEAL; he's one hell of a sniper and has awards for codebreaking, tracking, and sharpshooting. That's why he's my right-hand man for my security company. Oh." I thought the man had given up on me when I hadn't heard from him; I moved on with life and forgot about the whole thing." Adam paused again. "I'm an idiot. He's been watching me this whole time, waiting."

 Phelan

Phelan

When Don saw Phelan, his eyes burned with hate. He bellowed—a sound that was somewhere between a yell, a moo, and a really loud belch. “Hey, Phelan,” She then shouted back. “Didn't I kill you already?” He pounded his fist into the dress she wore, and it crumpled like aluminum foil. A few dracaenae threw flaming javelins at her. She knocked them aside. A hellhound lunged, and she sidestepped. She could have stabbed it, but She hesitated. “This is not Mrs. O'Leary”, Don said to himself. This is an untamed wolf. It will kill me and all my friends.

Claimed by my Biker Stepbrother

Claimed by my Biker Stepbrother

“Just breathe. You’ve got this.” We’d only been inside ten minutes when Robert Chen saw us. He was tall, polished, in his late fifties, with salt-and-pepper hair and the kind of smile that probably closed million-dollar deals. His eyes widened slightly when they landed on me. “Pearl,” he said, approaching with open arms like we were old friends. “Flinn’s daughter. I was so sorry to hear about your father. Tragic loss for the community.” I tried to smile as politely as I could and shook his hand. “Thank you. He spoke highly of your charity work.”

Contract Luna

Contract Luna

I felt absolutely nothing for him as he hovered over me, with his hands pinning my wrists above my head. “Get up!” Chad said and yanked me to a sitting position. “Dude. Are you really going to be mated to an Omega? Her no less? What would the pack think?” I heard Kyle say. “Hell no!” Chad replied. I felt his hand grip my chin, at first it felt gentle like he didn’t want to cause me pain. It passed quickly though, as I felt his grip tighten. “I, Chad Kershaw, future Alpha of Lunar Eclipse, Reject you, Brooklyn Blakley, as my mate.” Chad ground out, through clenched teeth.

I will work on a sequel but it will be a bit down the road after I finish some other books. Thank you all for your support with this book. I wasn't expecting so many of you to enjoy it. it was only intended to be a side project, but I will continue the story with Eric for the sequel.

This is the strong female transformation that many authors aim for. The author has done a wonderful job developing the characters, and gives a view of overcoming trauma in a delicate and empowering way. Consistently feminist (hard to do in this niche) and well written with only a few mistakes.
