What the hell was going on? “What the fuck is that?” Kalden’s brayed gasp had me flicking my eyes back to the creature that seemed to lead the other hybrids, just before I watched the skin on its frame fall away to reveal a woman’s long, lustrous black hair, the slender bend of her form sending a bolt of recognition through me. Who was the changeling woman? The shock of the revelation must have made the girl from the village shift back to her human because I watched as she fell to her knees, the buxom globes of her breasts bounci

"Its entire body is brown, like mud. It sort of looks like a frog, but the eyes are more like those of a cat. Plus, it can talk." Salvatore's face paled. "You saw one?" I nodded. "Last night. In my room." "Did you tell Professor Pops?" He looked utterly freaked out. "No. I forgot." "How could you forget? Sheesh, Snow. He needs to know that stuff." He crossed his arms. "A lot's happened lately." I had no excuse except I really had forgotten about it. He exhaled. "They are despicable creatures called changelings." He clucked his tongue. "I've encountered one before. Evil and vile, but easy to kill." He walked past the pixies.

She nodded twice, "She did so before I came out here with Nalaila. I already have the garlic tied up and hidden in our bedroom too." He did not talk for a while after that. Just walked with her while the wind blew around them. Finally, he took a deep breath, "A changeling has three forms. The male form, the animal form, and the half-shift, also called the humanoid form. Not by a long shot. That stranger with his stormy gray eyes and devilish grin had left a mark on me. And little did I know, our paths were destined to cross again. This wasn’t the end. Lillyana says. “What do you mean they wouldn’t be in any data base? And who are Marcus and Jason?” Polaris asks. “Changelings are a unique mix.
