Conner's POV Since Avery nearly died, I have seen her in a different light. Her body might be frail, but her spirit was far from that. She keeps pushing forward no matter what has been done to her. I am just as guilty as he is, and so are my brothers. We let our titles and pride keep us from knowing the real Avery. We judged her by her appearance, not her character. I still didn't know where to put my arms and I held them locked against my body for a long while, until they started to get stiff. About half an hour into our journey, I grabbed my book that I put under my jacket earlier and opened the first page. I had seen the movie Pride and Prejudice countless times and the familiar names put a smile to my face. This was the first time I read the book, so I shut the world around me out and started my mental journey.
