Many times I have seen people struggling to talk with strangers or in public places. This was due to anxiety and nervousness that happens unintentionally in our body. We can’t control them but have to overcome them. I came across the word “Glossophobia” in 2014 when I was working on how to overcome stage fears. I have seen my friends and myself struggling to talk with strangers or to speak in public. There are cases where I have acted speechless. This is where the idea arrived and I have created a character “Abhirath Srivastav” who cannot talk with strangers or in public places due to a phobia called “Glossophobia”. The Character Abirath Srivastav does not represent any real life personality, it is solely of my imagination. The story “ The only hope” is a love story set in the style of 1994. The story is about an orphan boy who suffers from glossophobia; he can't talk to strangers or in public places. He finds it hard to stay in an orphanage and escapes to find a better place in his life. He meets a Christian girl in an unknown village and becomes her best friend. He speaks to her, but not to any other villagers. Things are not, however, what was expected. Half of the villagers migrate to another place for work, and they take the boy with them. The boy has to leave his favourite place and his only best friend. After 12 years, however, he meets her and here how the story takes its turn.

Nagising si Cresia sa nakakasilaw na liwanag. Iginala niya ang paningin. She found myself lying on the cold ground. Huling naalala niya, habang pabalik siya sa condo... may nakita siyang batang babae sa kabilang bahagi ng kalsada. The girl was about to get hit by a car but she saved her. Bumangon siya at muling iginala ang tingin sa paligid. Nasaan na ang batang iniligtas niya? Where is she now? Napapikit siya nang tamaan ang mata ng sinag ng araw. Fuck. At bakit umaga na? Nakatulog ba siya sa daan? Ibinaba niya ang tingin sa sarili. She remember she was covered with blood. But how come she was perfectly fine now? Walang anumang bahid ng dugo ang damit niya... Iginalaw ni Cresia ang kamay. Wala siyang naramdamang anumang masakit doon. Nanlaki ang mga mata niya nang makita ang isang paparating na truck. Fuck! Her first instinct is to run. But it is too late. The truck is only meters away from her. Mariin niyang ipinikit ang mga mata at hinintay ang pagtama niyon sa kanya... But seconds passed. Nothing happened. Walang truck na tumama sa kanya. Bakit? Dahan-dahang idinilat ni Cresia ang mga mata. Wala na ang truck. Bakit? Anong nangyari? Muli niyang inalala ang nangyari kagabi... She was fucking sure she got hit by a car. Hindi kaya...hindi kaya...patay na siya? "Not yet." Isang lalaki ang biglang sumulpot sa tabi niya. Para itong galing sa libing sa suot na damit. Black cape, black pants, black shoes. Everything is black. Even his eyes. They're as dark as his outfit. "S-sino ka?" He smiled to her. Hindi alam ni Cresia kung bakit kinilabutan siya sa ngiti ng lalaki. "I'm Kairos. Your death angel." Death angel? "What? I... I'm...I'm dead?"

"You foolish bitch, do you really think you can marry Henry?". Her mouth curved into a wicked smile as she lowered her head to look at Ashley. "I am the real daughter of the head of the Browns. You will never become the bright and shinning flower of the Brown family" she let out a low snort "It would have been better if you end up like your stupid mother" she said with an evil grin on her face Ashley tighten her grip on her cloth as she heard Lucia's statement "You will never know what the drug you took was and what I have in stock for you. But one thing I'm sure of is that you enjoy your wedding night in advance" She then took out her phone, and dialed a number. "Are the two street ruffians I have arranged especially for my sister ready? Tell them to come here now." Ashley opened her eyes wide in shock upon hearing what Lucia had said. She knew that Lucia had never liked her. But she didn't expect that her to be this vicious. It seemed that Lucia wanted to drug her and found someone to rape her. Such a wicked woman!

Everything ended when my parents were killed, the love, the protection, the respect I once had when my parents were alive disappeared. I was cast aside and treated like a nobody, trying to navigate the storm I was made to endure. I found solace in a man I didn't know. He became my very perfection, the only person I yearned for, the air I breathe, and the only person who completes me. But everything changed when I thought I had someone I could rely on. What would happen when I realized the kind of man I had given my soul and body to? When the truth of my existence is revealed, would he still be the same person I've always yearned for?
