Kissing Danger
Why would she say that?
"Tell me!" I demand.
She opens her mouth to respond, but she stops, jerking forward. In horror, I look down to her stomach to see an arrow pierced through her, glistening purple with her blood. Screaming, I shove her off me, watching her limp body tumble into the undergrowth.
Looking up, gasping for air, I see a figure standing in the trees, dressed in all black, a hood pulled over their head. Just seeing them, their eyes, the way they carry the bow that clearly sent the life-ending shot to that women, is terrifying.
