Chase X Skye Novels & Stories

I clenched my fists, my wolf stirring inside me. I turned back to Skye, "It seems we have to postpone our conversation, there's something that requires my immediate attention." Her gaze flickered with concern as she looked at me, "What's happening?" I shrugged, "Trouble, most likely." I didn't want to tell her it was Jayleen. Not yet, not until I was sure of her loyalty. She nodded, her brows furrowed. As I turned to leave, I felt a strange sensation. I looked back to see Skye staring at the painting. She was more than her mother's daughter; she was a witch and she had powers. Powers that could help us.

Cindy pouted in mockery, "Not everyone is like you, who loves stupidly. Everyone uses their head these days. " Selena was shocked at her cold words which hurt her like a spear into her heart, she jerked in anger, asking "Do you even love Shane?" "Why the hell do you care? Is he your brother or something??" Sensing this may lead into a physical exchange fight, “My father just told me she got a job at the Kincaids’ so-called deadbeat hotel,” Chloe said suddenly. Suddenly, both were instantly distracted by this,“How did she manage that?”

Angela's POV Lyle strides across the room, his expression darkening as his eyes lock onto Michael’s hand on my back. Without hesitation, he slips his arm around my shoulder, his grip firm and unmistakably possessive. “Lyle Grayson,” he says coolly, extending his hand to Michael, though his other arm stays anchored around me. Michael retracts his hand from my back, straightens slightly, his polite smile unfaltering. “Michael Sterling,” he replies, shaking Lyle’s hand firmly.

**You’re looking for Kai, right? Skye froze but she typed back. **How do you know?** The reply came instantly. **Because everyone knows when someone finds a new obsession with Kai Sturm.** She frowned. Obsession? Before she could respond, another message appeared. **If you want him as your model, you should come tonight.** Skye stared at the screen. **Come where?** Axel shared her location for a motorcycle race tonight. Her pulse quickened and that only happened when Skye had a plan. Before she could overthink it, she grabbed her camera and headed straight toward the one place she probably shouldn't go.

She was a wild cat tonight, desperate for an audience, and I was the trophy she wanted to flaunt. I knew the tabloids would have a field day... Tyler Rider and Bernard Schfard estranged daughter. A Match Made in the Valley. The headlines were already writing themselves, and while it served the plan, the friction of Skye's body against mine felt like a betrayal I couldn't quite stomach. Suddenly, Skye pulled back, her eyes dark and glazed with a mixture of lust and alcohol. She didn't say a word; she just grabbed my hand, her grip surprisingly tight, and began leading me off the dance floor.

I am so excited to explore all the intracacies of second chance mates I alluded to in 'Chase. Do you have any guesses whose story it is?

She replied and our friendship continued even though we were no longer lovers. After graduating the academy, before returning to Blood Moon, I visited her at her home pack. I had been excited to see her again after so long and I foolishly hoped for us to rekindle an old flame only for her to reject me, once again, saying that we were better off as friends. I left her manor with a broken heart and returned to Blood Moon. I found out that Skye was my mate when I arrived at the manor, opening my bedroom door, to find her there, staring at me with a sheepish smile and holding unto a vase containing my favourite flowers. She always did have a little crush on me.

She winks before she and Xander step inside. "So, you're Sir Nicolo's mother, Miss Skye?" Cheryl exclaims in glee. ****tbc****

I reply with a laugh. Xander is my cousin and just a few months younger than Skye and I. Skye is also a cousin and my best friend. We live in a small town in Oregon and are attending our senior year in high school. I’ve lived here my whole life and I have always dreamed of traveling. I want to see more in this life. I don’t want to just find my mate and get married. Skye and I finish up our make up and head down stairs. We find Xander pacing back and forth. He has always been the impatient one.

I sensed Dresna’s immediate relief at the thought of getting his feet back on solid ground. A couple of hours later, we alighted from the Hipper. I could tell Dresna was still trying to comprehend how I had instructed him without a word spoken. He stopped mid-pace. “Skye, what exactly happened up there? It was like you took control of my mind.” “I feel pretty shaken myself,” I replied, looking away. “How about we go and get a shot of Drax?” “In the Drock?” he asked, shocked.
