I clenched my fists, my wolf stirring inside me. I turned back to Skye, "It seems we have to postpone our conversation, there's something that requires my immediate attention." Her gaze flickered with concern as she looked at me, "What's happening?" I shrugged, "Trouble, most likely." I didn't want to tell her it was Jayleen. Not yet, not until I was sure of her loyalty. She nodded, her brows furrowed. As I turned to leave, I felt a strange sensation. I looked back to see Skye staring at the painting. She was more than her mother's daughter; she was a witch and she had powers. Powers that could help us.

When I all of a sudden hear her. Skye ~”Damon!” Oh my fuck here we go. I got to the throne room, and I sighed, looking at Asher. “We have been waiting for you,” he said, walking towards me. “Sorry, I ran into a minor mishap,” I said. “Are you okay?” he asked, looking over my body. I chuckled. “I am fine,” I said. “Okay, let’s go,‘’ he said, calling Snow. Well, Snow is Sky’s daughter, I know. Very ironic. That damn hellhound has been getting freaky, and we all had no idea it was Zira who found out and told us. Now we have plenty of hellhounds, as Sky and his wife, as we call her, won’t stop having more puppies. But it is not a bad thing; they are all cute. Archie and Dean got one hellhound, and the rest are here, but Snow is my favourite, and I named her persona

It is an experience I wanted for sure. Since I wasn't marked by Jacob yet, I know that he cannot read my thoughts involuntarily nor can I his. But with the amount of huffing his wolf named Rogue does while chasing behind us, beside us, it tells me that he's more than ready to devour me at this very moment. My little mate and I go back to the house after a short while, when Skye’s stomach starts demanding food quite loudly, causing a delicious redness adorn her cheeks. “Did you calm down a little?” Mom asks without taking her eyes off the food she’s making. “Skylar, are you alright?” Brian sounds worried. “I’m fine. It just shocked me and I kind of freaked out.” Skye admits quietly, smiling at her father. It really warms my heart to see their relationship improve so quickly. I’m happy to know that Brian is my mate’s father and not that fucker that kept her in the mine. The Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack seems like a decent man and clearly cares about his daughter.

Chase and I were discussing how we could train the pack tomorrow as we have overheard how the hunters are training harder to kill us. Chase is my beta, he is a year younger than me and has black hair and brown eyes. I appointed him my beta after he showed immense courage at the Elders meeting. There was a knock at the door which stilled the pack, the smell of wolfsbane entering the area even though he is standing outside.

I knew the scouts and patrols were still scouring the forest for large predators and chasing them outside the borders, but that didn't stop Nix from being concerned. I grinned at Ruby and dashed under a bramble bush before taking off full speed in an attempt to catch up with me. She tried to pick up on my scent, while I used my Omega abilities to stay several steps ahead of her. It provided me with an unfair advantage that she was unaware of. I made sure to stretch my legs as I gracefully bounded over obstacles. Within months, I wouldn’t be able to roam around on my own if Nix had found out.
