Zoey's POV After returning to Serene Manor, I spent the entire afternoon cooped up in my bedroom drawing. Once I finished, I carefully checked the sketches, making sure there were no mistakes, before sending them to Leanna's email. I stretched out luxuriously and glanced at my phone, which showed it was already five in the afternoon. Suddenly, several news alerts popped up on my screen. "Born Beauty Entertainment's actress Moriah interferes in someone else's marriage!"

Quinn asked him. “I thought she told you, she called me and told me to make sure Asher came to the party. And said make sure he brought his sister and that new girl.. what’s her name? The fucking hot one. The one you can’t stand man, that trashed your Hummer.” Chase snickered at that. “Hold on.” Quinn was confused. What was Finely playing at? “She called you and told you to make sure Asher came? And Em?” “Yeah, yeah Em!” Chase snapped his fingers. “Emerson! Damn that girl is something else. Have y’all seen that ass?”

I needed the person who knew the truth to remind me why I was doing this. I reached her door and pushed it open—the hinges creaked, the sound echoing in the strangely silent hallway. "Zo? You wouldn't believe the day I’ve had. Kian and I—" I stopped mid-sentence. Zoey wasn't sitting at her laptop. She wasn't digging through files or looking for a lead on my mother. She was pacing the narrow strip of rug in her living room, her movements frantic and jagged, her curls a wild, frizzy mess. She was chewing on her thumbnail so hard I thought she might draw blood. She didn't even look up when I walked in; she just kept pacing, her breath coming in short, shallow bursts.

Folks!! I missed an updating day! I'm so sorry to do this to you guys, but there will be NO updates the next few days for 'Chase.' I sat down yesterday and looked at the chapters to post, and I just... wasn't happy. In an effort to give you guys the best story possible, I'd like to give it a couple days and rework the ending that is in the pipeline. I don't want to be "that" author that takes a random hiatus, but it is more important to me that I give Rose and Liam the ending they deserve than just post a lackluster ending. Trust me, with the stuff I drafted yesterday, I think you guys will agree.

Isn't he wealthy enough? "Get back to work. If you continue talking, I'm increasing your workload," Joey said, glaring at her. However, she still opened Twitter. As soon as she entered the app, she was shocked by the trending topics. The hashtag #SweetZachloe was one of the top ten trending topics. Joey mumbled to herself, "Are netizens nowadays so good at shipping?" She clicked on the hashtag and found an extensive discussion about her and Zachary. "#SweetZachloe Hey, everyone! I spent the whole night collecting information and found that Zachary really loves Chloe so much.

I just kept praying that she would turn around, and tell me this was all a prank. The moment she opened the door, I called her name. She spun around, kind of hesitated before looking at me. I swallowed the morsel in my throat, and kept my hands into my pocket. "I affirm that this journey has ended, so yes, the Chase is over." She nodded, and said nothing. She just turned around, and left.

ZOEY Celeste has still not been released from police custody. It seemed as though, he’d been locked up. Which was good because it gave Zoey more than enough time to move all of her stuff out of there without running into him. On her way back to his apartment, she branched the Apple Store and with some of the money Professor Beaumont dumped on the table at the restaurant today, she got herself the latest iPhone, got new AirPods, and because she was feeling funky, she decided to gift herself an iWatch. Oh, how it felt to spend her Professor’s money.

Chase hurriedly said, "Mom, calm down. Do you know why I locked the door? I was afraid you'd rush out to find her. She's busy tonight, we've already agreed to go to Elliot's for a livestream." Jocelyn asked, "What livestream?" Chase grinned proudly, "Don't you know? Sophia owns TikTok. She's the behind-the-scenes boss, and she also designed ‘Pinnacle’. Isn't she amazing?"

A bright smile formed on her face as she noticed Yura. When Jisoo stopped in front of Yura, she noticed a small figure hiding behind the girl, and this made her tilt her head. Curiosity was present in her eyes while she did so. Pointing towards Min Jisoo, she asked, “Is there someone behind you?” At that, Jisoo turned back and softly said, “Yejoon, come out now. You don’t have to be shy. Come on; you are a good boy!” Slowly, the four year old Yejoon peeked his out his head from her behind her while his hand gripped on to the material of Jisoo’s clothing tightly.

Chase set Brian back up in the chair, but Zoe's kick had knocked him unconscious. "Take him back to his cell and bring Zayden," Ryder said to Chase. Once they left the cell, he turned to Zoe smiling. "I think your wolf is starting to peek her head out. Unless you could always kick like that," He said, leaning down to kiss her. "No, never. I don't know what came over me. I had planned on punching him when suddenly I was spinning and kicking. That felt awesome," Nick and Darina chuckled at their daughter's enthusiasm.
