I ask. The tall girl shook her head and stuttering speak her mind out, “It's about boys. Uh. Like gays. Thankyou,” I said the bow my head and walked away. They went out the bookstore crazily whispering into each others ears. I thought they want to get my name... but it's fine they changed their minds faster than I thought.

“I’ll be fine, I’ll just wait for my turn over on the couch.” I make my way to the couch with a quick pit stop at the bar cart. As I begin pouring bourbon into a tumbler I hear her squeal with delight as she turns on the shower. “I didn’t even need to magic our shower goodies from home! He’s already stocked everything! What a wonderful man!” She shouts over the stream. I giggle and take a sip, sauntering towards the bookshelf nestled by the couch. I sit down and begin reading the titles to distract myself from my own mind. ‘Deimos - A Chronicle of the Demonic Agenda; Tyranny and Triumph - Autobiography of Rip Teller (Demon); Mystical Beings; Fae Hierarchy and Their Kingdoms..’ I am skimming
