Kriss replied, rolling his eyes, not denying he stole it. The brothers smirked and Zadicus said, “Tristan, tell him.” Zadicus said. At this point, it gained everyone’s attention because when Tristan shares words of wisdom, they hold immense power in them. “Here you go.” Tristan smirked, giving Kriss' book back, resting his hand on the back of his head, closing his eyes. “You are terrible at comfort.” I bump my shoulder into his. “I’m very good at honesty. You can get pretty words from anyone. You don’t need it from me.” He tilts his head, studying my face like he’s trying to decide how much of that he believes. “Say it again,” he says finally. “What?” “That this is your promise. Not Redmaw’s.” “I will never swear anything for Redmaw again,” I say. “Those vows are ash. This one is for you.”

“Where are the others? The cook said they aren’t here.” Hawk glanced over her shoulder toward the door, and she figured Gabe was communicating something to the captain. She didn’t remove her glare from Hawk. The click of the door and footsteps leaving let her know she was alone with him again. Good. Maybe she’d have his undivided attention now. “Yes, the others have been released.” She hitched a breath. “Released? You didn’t kill them?” One of his eyebrows arched. “My dear, Miss Stanhope. Didn’t I tell you earlier I was a man of my word? I specifically remember telling you I’d release them.”

Hello everyone! I am back with book 2 and to save you and myself some trouble I have decided to publish book 2 right here under book 1. At first, I wanted to call the second book "My Brother's Keeper" and I wanted to make it a separate book from this one but it's literally just a continuation of Not My Brother so I decided to just post the new chapters under this story. This way you guys don't have to go search for it and go through unnecessary trouble to find it.
