THE HEAVY BAKER'S DIRTY CONTRACT

Wednesday Adaireharper murphystory chef
"N-no! That's impossible! She stole my recipe! She just added random ingredients to—" "Those 'random' ingredients," Chef Laurent interrupted, his voice as sharp as a filet knife, "are what separate a chef from a technician. You made a technically perfect Crème Brûlée, Chef Armand. But Miss Evans made a living Crème Brûlée." Hendrik stood up.

Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Kale tossed the fish onto the cutting board. Debra laughed, "What's going on? Running out of chefs?" "We have chefs," Kale replied without missing a beat, "but none of them know how to make carp soup." "It's simple to make. What kind of chefs are they?" Debra reasoned. "I'll come back for it in half an hour. Thank you for your help," Kale said, leaving the kitchen. Their whole exchange was simple and dry. Debra looked down at the fish and shook her head.

I really like this book but why is it being dragged so much? Debra keeps getting herself in weird situations like the Island kidnapping and then her engagement kidnapping. I get the authors are paid by pages but if it’s too dragged then the readers eventually lose interest and move to finished books

Lisa took the menus and waved to Keith to come back over. "I don't have to be fat to be a good baker." Sicily pulled her napkin into her lap and thanked Keith as he put their beers in front of them. "Let's ask Keith," Lisa chided. "Ask Keith what?" he spoke, smiling as he took the menus from Lisa. "Ask you if you think someone needs to be fat to be a good cook or a baker?" Kari jumped in. He looked back at her, a precious smile playing on his lips. He simply stared for a moment before shrugging.

BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER

BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER

Then he rolled his sleeves up to his elbows and pinned both Tilly and Sasha with that dark glare. “Well?” he snapped. “Where do you need me?” Need him? What was happening? Sasha wondered. "I want to help," he added helpfully. Tilly recovered first. “I'm not sure you can be of much help, Kaleb" she said, "But let's see how much your kitchen skills have improved” She handed him a knife. “You get an order of cashew chicken going, and I’ll get the green curry.” Without a word, he crossed to the sink, washed his hands, then accepted the utensil and started chopping fresh vegetables and chicken like a pro. Tilly again shot Sasha a look, but Sasha shrugged, still stunned and confused.

TCST 1: Secrets Beyond

TCST 1: Secrets Beyond

Gone was the thought of Caleb's revelation on the coming Friday. Knowing that Athena Winzlet was someone who came from the top of the chain as well, I knew she dressed well. I knew that she was an international chef and a chain of restaurants owner, Cuisine De Winzlet for I have seen her profile once when I tried to search her on the internet the first time I saw her when she visited Caleb in his office.

No problem, anything else? “How is it going with Caleb?” I asked. Caleb is also a chef and the kitchen manager at my main restaurant. He is a brilliant cook but he has been kind of a source of worries for me recently. I don't have any evidence that the problem is, just a feeling that something is off with him.

THE CEO ALREADY KNEW

THE CEO ALREADY KNEW

Enough to know that someone out there wants to read what I have to say. Celeste celebrates by cooking dinner. She's gotten good at this — the simple act of feeding someone. She doesn't burn things anymore. Don't forget ingredients. Just moves through the kitchen with the same quiet precision she used to apply to boardrooms. "You've become a chef," I say. "I've become a wife." "What's the difference?" "A chef cooks for strangers. A wife cooks for the person she loves." I kiss her cheek. "I love you." "I know." "I mean it."

"This is really good! I've not had a meal like this in forever?" Beatrice smiled, pride shining on her face. "My daughter-in-law and her sisters are the culinary wizards behind this dish. They make the best meal." Ryder's eyes lit up. "Oh, wow! They're all great chefs!" Sophia chuckled, shaking her head. "Well, technically, we're all just good cooks, but I think we make it work, Daphne is the pro chef."
