I was trudging along with four bags, reminding myself whom I hadn't annoyed on my mental list. "Okay," I said to myself. "Lily—check. Grandpa—double check. Suzu doesn't care. Annoying collegues —posted. Receptionists—posted. Creed—oh wait…" I looked down at a tiny black box with matte paper and a silver ribbon. I was not going to think about it. Not now. I passed by a chocolate milk stand and stopped dead in my tracks. My heart did this weird flip. Mom. She drank chocolate milk like it was oxygen. She could down three bottles and then request more. Dad would tease her every time, but then sneak a bottle into her bag when she wasn't paying attention.

"Ohh by eating I remembered something' she said and opened zip of her handbag. She took out one bubbly dairy milk silk from her purse, which she don't like much. She unwrapped it and taking six pieces all together she shoved them in his mouth. "Happy Birthday" she said and he smiled wholeheartedly while chewing the stuff in his mouth. He finished it within a seconds as it's his fav chocolate. She had this chocolate in her bag since last three days, she has bought it for him only but didn't get a chance to give him.

She began to remember things that she had long ago put out of her memory. Momma had a date with Mr. Benson and she wanted Juicy to put spirals in her hair. She had such beautiful hair. "Fun fact, I could drink this kind of chocolate milk but I hate hot chocolate and store bought chocolate milk." I tell her and her mouth falls open. "How can you hate hot chocolate. That is one of the best things ever." She argues.
