He felt a bit of pity for her because who in their proper sense would have sex with someone like Chris? She was the third woman he had made him perform an abortion for. But his parents were unaware of the other two. Needing to wrap his head around things, Chris stormed out of the house, ignoring his mother’s call and driving off to the home where he locked Jessica. “That’s part of the process.” “It’s really not.” He walked further into the room, dropping into the chair across from me like he had no intention of leaving anytime soon. “What’s going on?” “Nothing.” “Right,” he said dryly. “And I’m here for the interior design.” I didn’t respond, because I wasn’t explaining this, not yet. Chris leaned forward slightly, studying me. “This about the press thing?” “No.” “The family drama?” “No.” He narrowed his eyes slightly. “Then it’s a woman.” I didn’t react, which was reaction enough. Chris leaned back slowly, folding his arms.

He looks around as if checking to see if someone is eavesdropping. "Let me tell you a secret." "Okay," Steph drawls, giving him an expectant look. She also leans on the table so that they're closer to each other. "I used to like watching sappy romance movies," Chris reveals. Steph gives him an incredulous look with a raised eyebrow, obviously not believing him. "I'm serious," Chris says in a deadly serious tone as he leans back on his chair. Steph espies his face, looking for evidence that he's lying but finds none.

Vitali’s mouth drops open, “Dumpling, you wound me. I thought we were friends.” I smile with a shrug, “Friends tell each other the truth.” I can feel Chris’ pride and amusement as he pulls me closer. “This isn’t fair, I can’t even argue with you cause you’re so damn sweet. It would be like arguing with Mother Teresa or Gandhi,” he says while waving his arms around in frustration. “Who?” I ask in confusion. “Famous humans, I’ll explain them to you later,” Chris says while kissing my temple. I sigh in contentment as I feel those delightful electric tingles zap through me.
